Hi All,

First of all, I just want to say what a great site this is, lots of information being shared and a nice community

I've only recently started vaping and first of all started off with a few disposable intellicigs. I've just bought an Evo now and have been using it for the last few days. The carts that came with it I had no problems with, except for one of them, which didn't seem to be producing much vapour at all but all the rest were fine.

I bought a 10-pack of carts the other day and have been experiencing a few problems. Firstly, I've ended up with a lot of liquid in my mouth from them. Is there something I'm doing wrong? My next problem is (I think) possibly the cause for this excess liquid, and that's that airflow seems restricted. Certainly with the first carts I used there was an audible sound of air rushing through the cart into my mouth, and also a feeling associated with it. Now when I use one of the new carts from the 10-pack the feeling/sound isn't there, it feels like I'm not actually getting anything into my mouth (Until I take the cig away and take the vapour back). I think as a result of this I'm possibly toking harder which might be why the liquid is sometimes ending up in my mouth?

I tried draining the atomizer today which did solve the issue for at least a couple of drags but it was soon back to the situation described above.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to fix these issues.

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Carts are not the best way to vape. They definitely can dump 1/2 their juice with no warning.

Atomizer - try blowing it out into a tissue. Maybe it is just flooded. If you have a spare atomizer you can try cleaning the problem one. And you should always have spare atomizers if you are using atomizers. They can die suddenly or degrade or get hard to clean.

You didn't pick any kind of white fiber off of the metal mesh bridge /\ of the atomizer did you? if so, that is the wick and it is necessary for carts to work. The bridge pushes it into the stuffing and the wick brings the juice to the heating coil.

I started on the model Evo is a renamed version of (M402 and M401). It's the kind of ecig that looks good, has good taste, but is inconsistent and sucks to keep working right with those tiny recessed juice cups. Within 3 weeks I was shopping for something better and bought both of the most popular slim minis. They are a bit fatter than a cig - Joye 510 manual and I use it with Boge cartomizers and KR808D-1 manual (like Vapor4Life or SmokelessImage Volt) which I use with their cartomizers.

This blowing into a tissue thing is what seems to get it working as expected for a couple of drags, I don't, yet have a spare but I'm already thinking about upgrading to something else so am reluctant to spend more cash on the range if I'm not going to continue using it.

I didn't, I can't actually see any white fibre though either. I don't really have a problem with the vapour production though so I'm assuming that liquid is getting to the coil OK.

I was thinking about a Riva 510 because I've seen some good reviews, but I'm not sure if it's a bit fat...while I'd have no objections in using such a device at home I'm not so sure I'd be as confident using it in public...maybe the mini version of the 510? Does that one use the same threads/fittings? If it does then I could feasibly have the mini for the stealthy situations and the bigger one for home use. As you can probably guess, I'm not too up for spending a ton of cash on this new hobby because I'm seeing it as a way to make savings.

Is 510 reliability streets ahead of what I'm experiencing with the Evo?

Just took the leap and ordered myself a Riva 510 SE kit, some boge cartomizers and a drip tip so I think I'm going to be setup for a good while now. Cannot wait until tomorrow - next day delivery will be my blessing.

I made the mistake of not bringing my charger with me today so my intellicig is undoubtably going to run out at some point, probably before I get home from work so I bought a 10 pack of analogs and just smoked one, yuck. Taste is horrible already and it's only been a couple of days without them. The Riva comes with 2 batteries and I plan to keep my intellicig charged too so with 3 batteries stuff like this won't happen again and I'll be able to vape instead of smoke at ALL times.
