To answer a couple of questions: The standard EVO is 102mm, the short battery will make it 95mm. The new carts are being phased in as the previous stock runs down. The most efficient way of topping up is to remove the inner cart, remove the filler, top up the empty cart (10-12 drops in the new ones but depends on your dropper) replace filler carefully making sure no excess liquid lies on top of the filler, replace inner cart, smoke. This way ensures the filler absorbs the liquid and all you need is a sewing needle.

are the black ones gonna be 102mm also or will they have the shorter battery ?

If they are gonna be the shorter battery i will get the white one as atm for me the battery run time is the selling point.

ooo...i hope the black ones will be the 102mm.

i'm sure you will, John, but do lets us know when the black ones are up for sale. i'm sure you'll have orders pouring in. the EVO has gained quite a following it seems :)

I'm currently in negotiations with a number of suppliers who want to distribute in the U.S. As soon as deals are finalised I'll pass on their details. Meanwhile you can order direct online from us. If you decide to buy one let me know before you do and I will set up a discount on the shipping. A big advantage is that you don't have to pay VAT on commercial samples which saves you a nice portion.
Cheers.
John.
How much the shipping cost would aprx be?
Thanks

OK the B7Q one looks like this

Duracell USB Device Charger+4xAA CEF23

It is bigger than it looks in the photo. Basically the unit has a removable mains plug, you plug the unit into the mains to recharge the NiMH batteries, then the plug is removed and you have a portable USB power supply that can be used with the EVO usb charger. It is big and the batteries it comes with are not the most powerful but you can buy it at B&Q

The other option that I have not tried but is much neater is

Z146 1800ma USB rechargable Battery Power Brick on eBay, also Universal, Batteries, Laptop Accessories, Computing (end time 01-Jan-09 11:23:53 GMT)

I've ordered a couple but not here yet.

The best is the home made unit, but I would say that wouldn't I?

Don't waste you tome and money like wot I did on the eBay units, they are a complete waste of time. Can barely charge an EVO battery once against the NiMH units that manage 8-10 chrges.

Are there any plans, somewhere along the line, to also develop a pen-style with the evo-kind of battery? This would make such an evo-product interesting for a lot of other users too, I would think (as for me: I would be interested when two features are met: 1. NOT looking like a regular cigarette - 2. holding pen-style and pen-size cartridges, being the much more economic choice compared to mini-cartridges of any kind or size; plus I don't prefer round mouthpieces).

Meanwhile good luck with your development, it sure sounds like you are taking some steps forward that the e-devices in general are in need of. :)

No pen style in the pipeline as we are extremely busy filling orders, setting up distributors and trying to ensure we have a quality product to offer. Development will always be part of our business but it has to be balanced and timely.

To answer other ?s
Our batteries are not from China and not from Smoore.
Yes they do charge quickly and hold the charge very well.
Maybe we do use Sonic Screwdrivers during assembly....
Details of our atomisers are a well kept secret.
All items are guaranteed for 30 days as they are mostly consumables.
All the above information is available on our website.
Cheers.
John.

Ok, you got me, I visited your site.

Considering you seem to have a decent product I'm puzzled about the claims you make. Why would you bother to publish unproven, misleading information? I'm puzzled because you seem to have something different, decent quality and good value for money, is this really necessary?

One of the things your website says is:

"There is now a brand new way of stopping smoking, while at the same time staying healthy and abiding by the law. Intellicig electronic cigarettes are a healthy substitute for customary cigarettes."

A quit smoking device and health claims.

Hi Kate

Your right, we have changed the site, this content has only been live a couple of days, our web designers have been making some changes.

All is changed now, as an industry we all need to take care with what statements we make.

In a house.
Looks just like a "Super Mini" to me.
I don't like round ends and there's no "Classic" in the offing and there are only 2 flavours. I think i'll give it a miss.
I've got a box full of these "mini's" and their all dead or not worth the hassle.

btw Who's gonna be the first to count the 12,000+ inhalations ?

Well it's not just a "Super Mini" and does not deserve to be dismissed as such. It's form factor may not appeal but why the dismissive post?

i agree pete. some guys just seem to have a real dislike of anything that slightly resembles a super mini and want to tar all the others with the same brush.

however, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

i just view it as their loss, my gain!

for those guys who dont want to visit, here is what is now written on the website:-

Electronic Cigarette

This is not a way of stopping smoking but an alternative, use the Intellicig Electronic Cigarette while at the same time staying healthy and abiding by the law. Intellicig electronic cigarettes are a healthier substitute for customary cigarettes. They have the same taste as a normal cigarette and although the electronic cigarettes still contain nicotine, they have none of the 4000 chemicals that you would find in a conventional cigarette.
Electric Cigarette

Electric cigarettes have been accessible for about 3 years now but have always been hard to get hold of. Well with our fourth generation of electric cigarettes, that obstacle has now been overcome. The renewable cartridges are accessible in 4 different strengths. from high to no nicotine and orders are usually dispatched within 1 working day of being placed, in many cases the same day. Our new cartridge will last about the same time as 8 standard cigarettes.
Alternative Cigarette

The Intellicig Electronic Cigarette can be used absolutely anywhere because it contains no tar, no tobacco, no smoke and no other toxic chemicals like the standard cig, making it the perfect alternative cigarette. It looks and feels like a real cigarette, and this alternative cigarette tastes just like a real cigarette. It is far better for your health and it works out a lot less costly than standard cigarettes.
Stop Smoking

If you are trying to stop smoking you should seek advice from your doctor. However the electronic cigarette gives smokers the same enjoyment that they get from smoking standard cigarettes. We are unable legally to advertise the electronic cig as a stop smoking device, but it is an alternative smoking device without many of the problems that come with traditional smoking. The main reasons people are starting to use electric cigarettes are; they are a healthier way to smoke, you have the ability to smoke anywhere you want, there is no first/second hand smoke emitted into the atmosphere, it is not flammable, and it is more convenient and cheaper than standard cigarettes.

all seem like fair comments imo

Thanks Kate, Intellicig is certainly getting itself a good name, and people appreciate its not just about the product, its about the service and the ethical nature in which we conduct ourselves.

You will notice i have not made many comments on this forum, I have been sitting back and watching the discussions that take place, interesting to say the least.

Intellicig will have some exciting developments to share with everyone over the next few days, so hold tight :D

Good for you David, I'm sure honesty will generate far more goodwill than spreading myths.

For what it's worth I've heard a lot of good reviews about your product, I hope it does well.

Just for your information, in case you're interested, this thread highlights some of the things forum members think are rubbish -

Hello David - good to see another 'face' from Intellicig here in the forum. As I'm sure you're well aware John has done a terrific job of representing your company here but he can't spend his whole life posting away - seeing some of the times he HAS posted (from 6am to midnight) he clearly works amazingly hard for you well beyond office hours as well as during them. Give that man a bonus!

Can we expect you to be posting more frequently now as well? If I might make so bold, you could do worse than make folk here and on your site aware of the area of your 'parent' company's business. John mentioned this to me in conversation on the phone and I was very interested. I feel that this is a fair indicator of why you make so much of attention to detail, service and ethical stance.

'Ethical' isn't a word people tend to take awfully seriously these days, particularly when it is (ab)used by multinational corporations, governments etc. Let's face it, I've been propping up Philip Morris's profits for decades but wouldn't consider using the term 'ethical' to describe any of their activities.

Personally I feel that if a company supplies a product with the potential to benefit many people with a reasonable level of responsibility (as Intellicig and some other suppliers seem to be doing) I'm entirely happy if they describe themselves as ethical and have no problem if they make a decent living in the process.

A polite request; both John and now you have been dangling the 'exciting new developments' for some time - I'm assuming this has to be the black EVO. Several members including myself are already on tenterhooks for these to arrive on the site so if they all go in 2 days flat there'll be tears! Dangle no more unless there's a firm arrival date - we can't handle the stress...

Here's to love, peace and happy endings! :D:thumb::D

There is no evidence that Intellicig is a healthier substitute for tobacco, that claim deliberately plays on vulnerable smokers fears.

Esmoking is not allowed everywhere, not all property owners, airlines, etc allow it.

There are chemicals in ecig vapour, even some of the 4000 you say don't exist. Propylene glycol for one, flavourings, blah, blah, blah ....

Enough from me. Good luck with it.
