Howdy. Recent e-cig convert.

It's nice to be off the analogs.

In doing my research on e-cigs I found an interesting article about PG that many of you may find helpful. It is from the 1942 issue of Time magazine concerning some research that was conducted at the University of Chicago's Billing's hospital. Thought I'd share it with those who haven't seen it.

Send that in to someone who might read it...hopefully....why aren't govt people seeing all the positives?

This is simple.

Because you have to be ethically corrupt and/or an utter ..... to get elected. Few exceptions exist. And the ones that are quickly get unelected or are very lonely.

The government in reality does nothing good for the American people. They do mostly what's good for them and for big money interests who help them get elected and stay that way. This of course doesn't include us. Most of whom are easily manipulated into voting against their own real interests. Of course it's easier to hate than to understand. This is how we are divided against each other.

It hasn't always been this way. Or maybe it has, who's to say?

I have a formula I've devised after almost 50 years on this planet. The government has to do 15 million things wrong, before they get something right. So if you're waiting, expect to wait for a long, long time. In the meantime do what's best for you and hope the Gestapo doesn't round you up for being 'different' than the hysterical majority.

I'm reminded of a quote by the late George Carlin (one of my favorite comedians);

I caught a nasty virus or something late last week. Sinuses clogged shut, throat so sore I could barely swallow, and a horrid cough. Normally, something that severe would require at least a week and a half at minimum to clear up. It's only been four days and I'm pretty much back to normal without the aid of any medications. In fact, since I've started vaping I've noticed I've been rebounding much faster whenever I'm sick. Faster than when I previously quit cold turkey a few years back even. There may actually be something to this, but I'm not a doctor or a scientist so this is all speculation.

From the article linked above:
Dr. Robertson placed groups of mice in a chamber and sprayed its air first with propylene glycol, then with influenza virus. All the mice lived. Then he sprayed the chamber with virus alone. All the mice died.

Propylene glycol is harmless to man when swallowed or injected into the veins. It is also harmless to mice who have breathed it for long periods. But medical science is cautious—there was still a remote chance that glycol might accumulate harmfully in the erect human lungs which, unlike those of mice, do not drain themselves. So last June Dr. Robertson began studying the effect of glycol vapor on monkeys imported from the University of Puerto Rico's School of Tropical Medicine. So far, after many months' exposure to the vapor, the monkeys are happy and fatter than ever.

Good news so far...... Keep sanitizing the air people!

What amazes me is this study was done half a century ago, yet the results are completely ignored by those who see vaping as immoral.

As far as personal results are concerned, I was sick when I received my first kit and recuperated fairly rapidly. My husband has come down with several upper respiratory infections over the last few months, but I have managed to avoid them all. I don't know if vaping has anything to do with it, but I'd like to believe it did.
