It is unfortunate that this debate, regardless of platform, seems to be reflecting the political state of this country as of late. There seems to be a lack of middle ground these days. Everything is black or white, right or left. Divided we fall sound familiar?

In the logic of 'we don't know, so ban it' I think there should be a ban on Axe Body Spray. I would rather smell a wet ashtray.

Bottom line is people have let the government take control of our lives. If its not harming the public health then it shouldn't be regulated. All I know is after smoking analog's for over 35 years and trying the patches after they were approved for over counter sales and trying patches when you had to get them from a doctor still i finally managed to quit and couldn't have done it without my e-cig. Is it right for everybody? I don't know. Will everybody that uses an e-cig be able to quit smoking? Probably not. Should it be marketed as a smoking cessation device? No I don't believe it should be even though it has helped many people do so. It's a proven fact that Nicotine by its self is no worse then caffeine. I do agree that it shouldn't be sold to people under the age of 18 but other then that mind your own business

I just think it's really sad that they force an anti smoking agenda down our throats, but don't make it any easier to quit. The patches are too expensive, and the results are wishy washy. Same goes for the gums and everything else. I quit smoking because there was a healthier alternative that tasted better and worked for me. What we exhale when we vape is nowhere near as harmful as second hand smoke so I don't see what the fuss is all about. Crude oil exhaust is one of the worst things for public health, and I don't see them making as big a deal over that. These double standards are really trying my patience.

The host was for sure standing up for vaping
I tried listening but there was another audio stream playing simultaneously about objectifying young women with underwear advertisements.

Given the source, Huffiing and Puffington Post, if it had a good opinion of vaping I'd be amazed.

That's my take. I don't know anything about him at all, so I guess he could've just been playing devil's advocate. What I do know is that Huffington is mainly a liberal left wing community. My definition of liberal says they should be for personal liberties. In my mind, that should mean letting people do what they want.

However.. that isn't the case for cigarettes and online poker. Online poker in the U.S. was basically banned completely. I read last night, Obama signed a bill saying you can only import cigarettes with regular, or menthol. That stopped him buying the very brand he smoked. I'd appreciate it if someone verify that actually happened, though.

On those grounds, I don't see the administration having a problem with an ecig ban, no matter what a HuffPost host thinks.

Yeah, it seemed that the host was certainly on "our side", but one can never tell with them. I do honestly hope that that little debate did shed some positive light to those that know nothing about vaping and up until then had no idea what an e-cig or a PV was.

Of course, if we don't know about it, ban it. Sounds very Spanish inquisition to me....
