But public health officials remain skeptical. The Canadian Lung Association suggests candy-flavoured e-cigarettes could entice young people to start smoking. And last week it issued a warning saying not to be fooled by e-cigarettes.

About a hundred public health experts will gather in Toronto tomorrow for a forum on electronic cigarettes, organized by Melodie Tilson. Ms. Tilson is policy director with the Non-Smokers' Rights Association. She joined us this morning from Ottawa.

If they are anything like their American counterpart, I can guarantee that they won't be gathering to discuss how wonderful it is that so many Canadians don't smoke any more because of e-cigarettes.

Grrh i hate the media, so dumb and/or corrupt.

Firstly how does vaping encourage smoking? vaping encourages vaping and nothing else! In fact it makes smoking seem old hat so it actually discourages smoking.

Second of all they are happy to ignore all the people saying that vaping has helped them quit smoking yet they are worried about some possible problem in the future that it may encourage smoking(a worry thats completely dumb in the first place).

Lets keep fighting these ... crooks!

Have any of these nitwits ever tasted e-liquids to see if they'd be of any interest to children? No, of course not!

Canadian Radio: Educating Listeners or Making Us Dumb?

I'll include American Radio right in there with them. I mean, honestly. Go ahead and make them illegal. Then watch me have to go back to cigarettes because I have no alternative (or wouldn't in two years when I run out of DIY). Idiots.
