Not an attack. The concept of relaxing the restrictions on NRTs is built into the tobacco Act and the FDA held a public workshop on it in 2010.

What's interesting is that folks like Matt Meyers of Campaign for tobacco Free Kids is all for long term use of NRTs (in fact, his was one of the groups that campaigned to get the rules changed) by he is clearly against the products that work better (i.e. ecigs). Is there any possibility that his organization gets financial support from GSK or J&J?

It just reinforces the true intentions of the FDA. Their goal is to serve and protect the interests of their "one & only" true constituent, Big Pharm and the puppet groups funded by Big Pharm.

It may make it harder to restrict nicotine as it pertains to vaping. But NRT products come in ineffective 2mg & 4mg levels, so it may not be as helpful as we would hope it would be. Time will tell.
