USPS banned it back in May, then resumed on November 15th. Now I think they're looking for a permanent fix by January 2013 (unless they fixed it when they lifted the ban). You're safe for now, but I would order a couple of batts by the end of the year, just in case (like during the Xmas sale). SI still has UPS/FedEx/DHL as options if USPS doesn't work out their issues, but it might be more expensive that way.
My suggestion to SI would be to test the batteries before shipping internationally, as warranty issues might become really problematic.
thanks so much for replying...I only found out yesterday...I had no idea..yes ill be ordering more bats...I agree with your remarks on testing before shipping internationally...save everyone concerned a lot less hassels...im just glad I found out now ...while I still have time..thank you
