I like Steve's Green Checkmark and Bridget's Vapor.

Lightning bolts and electrical type things may be seen as more threatening by some. A lot of people don't really understand electricity and would just as soon stay away from it.

Representing 'Vapor' in a way that doesn't also look like smoke is a good idea...like Bridget's images. Otherwise, something that looks like mist or water vapor is more positive.

I wonder if Steve's notions and Bridgets can be successfully combined...

I think if we're trying to educate people on electronic cigarettes we might at as well start with electricity. The reason i don't neccessarily like Brigit's design is just because to me it may be a little too generic. Yknow like that could be the tip of a hookah or .... for all the viewer knows.

Excellent designs here, but for clarity, I vote for Steve's or Trela's. I like Steve's but think it could maybe use a small curl of vapor, but then where would you but it of course? I actually like the mini, because while it's not the best for use, more people would recognize it. I like Trela's because it just states it up front, but those unaccustomed to the term "vape" wouldn't necessarily know what was meant.
Still, better than I can do... :)

Love the idea. Every time I go out, I wonder how many people around me are vapers besides me. I like parts of many of the ideas presented, I like trela's but an international symbol would not have lettering on it. Needs to be a symbol only, not a sign. I like brigit's use of the drip tip and vapor but it needs more and the vapor is coming out of the wrong end heh. I think Steve's is a very positive image with the green but it does look a lot like a cig.

Maybe combine them. Steve's design with brigit's drip tip added to the e-cig and vapor plumes, and add bubba and terla's battery + - symbols. Another thought to help distinguish the difference between smoking and vaping is a dual symbol. Have the 'no smoking' symbol with traditional red border next to the green brodered vaping symbol.

Whatcha think?

I like Bubba's positive and negative idea so i tried to use that with the lightning bolt from steve's found pics. I decided to pretty it up a bit and i liked that a lot more. I wanted to make it look different from a cigarette by turning it upright, and making the top part under the vapor lines less like ashes and more like the threads on my ego. The Vapor bit on top was the most fun to do, you can see what my first try looked like in the 2nd one.

Here's what i came up with:

Then for kicks I threw together a quick sign with the one i liked:

That is perfect!

I think the check mark looks good and artistic...but honestly, I don't "get" it. If I was walking down the street and saw that on someone's hat or shirt...I would have NO idea what the "point" was. It's okay to smoke? Sorry. It is very nice, but to me...not that clear what the message is supposed to be. I did like the design with the universal electric symbol incorporated with the e-cig ...but that was a "found" one, and likely has a copyright on it.

Too much focus on drawing vapor and cigalikes. Drip tips and smoke are reminiscent of paraphernalia at first glance . I could see this stuff on t-shirts they would all be cool, but what businesses are going to think they are respectable and place them on their doors.

The international symbol doesn't need to look like our equipment or byproduct to catch on. Non-smokers really don't need to know what it means by looking at it before it catches on, but what we DONT need is a reminder of cigarettes upon glance before it catches on. It should be simple easy and catchy. Not saying I am creative enough to do it lol, just think no smoking has taken over that whole direction of thinking.
Also, the electric bolts on batteries... Cool shirt but When i see that on a building i think danger high voltage, then add a plume of smoke to that?
Ego with a green circle? What are they allowing the ladies to do in that establishment? Lol

what about like a juice bottle with a green circle. A tree with a battery in the trunk. The train with a battery is absolutely awesome.

A green e or green battery with nothing fancy would win my vote. A white background, red slash circle with a cig in it and right next to it a green E or battery. Average person wont have any negative vibes from it, just knowing that smoking isnt allowed.

Something silly like, 4.2v in green letters ( i just decided im gunna have that shirt made for me lol) using mod/digital font. And ER1 in red if vaping not allowed.

Now, one last brainstorm.. We want to get away from the word "ecig" how about the letters APV in green or something along those lines.. Force people to call them what they are by making it catch on lol.

I'm not sold on the color but love the design - this one doesn't look like a cigarette. I think it really does need to look different to a cig. And maybe with with word Vape or vaper somewhere

I like this one with or without the words.

Sent by the voices in my head o_O

I like this, but without the "smoke" plumes. I don't think we need them and they would be confusing. Heck, the signs over public bathrooms have me confused sometimes.
But I digress...
(No, you don't want to hear the airport story, trust me)
