Why?..............

I didn't like the hidden tab feature. I like things out where I can see them.
I seem to remember having to do extra steps just to get to my bookmarks like pulling down a menu and having to slide over to the right to get at them and if you don't hit it right on the mark, the menu disappears and you have to pull it down again.
Not user friendly for me.

One way around that if you haven't used it this way already :

Right click on the empty space next to a tab > toolbar and tab options appear> select menu bar

That makes bookmarks etc, more easily accessible. You can also move your tabs to top or bottom at the tab option. There's also an option to have a bookmarks toolbar.

Bassnut, go up to the red Firefox icon in the top left and select options, then deselect "Tabs on Top". It will look like 3.6 then. You can also tap the F11 key to make all the menus disappear for a full screen browsing experience. Tap F11 again to return to the menus on top.

You can also get to those options by right clicking on the toolbar.

Firefox 4 does look and act a little different than 3. Bookmark and home icons are on the top right. I've found that Alt-B brings up bookmarks and Alt-Home takes you to your predefined home page (Google for me). I've noticed that pages load faster than 3.

I like using keyboard shortcuts, having come through the Wordstar generation. I find myself clicking Ctrl-V, A, C, I, X, Z and others without thinking about it to invoke various functions, so that makes Firefox pretty friendly.

Has anyone else noticed that clicking edit puts you in advanced mode from time to time instead of standard edit mode? This started happening after the last configuration change occurred.
