Hello all,
I wanted to both introduce myself and also put out a couple of observations from a new e-cig user. So Hi.
I started looking into vaping about a month ago as a possible aid to help me with quitting. I had been a pipe smoker for about 11 years and felt it was time to put my pipes up and give more thought to my health. I ran across this forum and found many of the posts for newbies both helpful and sometimes a little overwhelming. I decided to purchase initially from Npro and now have the Ncig from them. One of the batteries was defective but that was quickly replaced. I found the product to feel well constructed and after learning how to use it, the performance was very satisfying. I have since decided to purchase a Dura as a back up and have gotten through 1.5 sample packs of various juices. The pipes have all been polished and packed away, the tobacco given away to a pipe smoking friend and my sense of well being grows every day. I look forward to enjoying vaping for the length of time it takes to ween me away from my old habit and perhaps even after that. To everyone, your posts and discussions have provided a lot of good information. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Since I am to new to post anywhere else I wanted to follow up on my intro and comment on the new Janty Dura I recently received as a backup to my Njoy Ncig.
The Janty package arrived and after reading the instructions the batteries were placed to charge. My initial impression was that the size difference seemed rather noticeable but it was the performance I was most concerned about. The only other impression was that the parts of the Dura did not feel as "solid" as those of my Njoy.
After Charging the batteries I tested out my new unit. I am very satisfied with the initial performance of the unit. The volume of smoke is plentifull. I notice the unit has an easier draw than the NJOY which for some may be a plus. I find that the draw difficulty doesn't seem to matter all that much for me. This could be due to the fact that I smoked a pipe. My only two observations that are in any way negative about the DURA are as follows.
The cart appears to have a minor leak around the seal to the vaporizor. This is not a major issue so far as the leak proves to be relatively minor but does subtract from the overall confidance and satisfaction of the device.
Secondly both the feel and the fact that one LED is completely off center and looks odd when lit gives the impression of a less than well put together product. If something gives off the impression of being cheap, even if it really is, this can subtract from my satisfaction. Overall though I am pretty happy with the product. And since it only seems appropriate I thought I would score both products I have tried so far in order to make it a little clearer.

Njoy, Ncig (first product) Overall-4.0
Comments: Solid, good vapor level, solid battery and cart life, warranty. Draw is a little more difficult then I had initially expected but is not overly problematic.

Janty, Dura(second product) Overall-3.5
Comments: Good vapor level, easy draw, lower price tag. Warranty slightly less than Njoy, Feels less solid than the Njoy model. Slight leakage around the cart/vaporizer seal.

Welcome Gabrielleyon! Glad you're enjoying your ecigs. I'm surprised you like the njoy more than the dura, but everyone is different. Do you top off or drip? That might cause the leakage on the dura. Sometimes when Im not paying attention I drip too much and I get a little leak too. This is usually when Im on the fly and need a quick vape inbetween working lol.

It may seem like there is a wider gap in my preference between Janty and Njoy but to be honest it is not really much of one. The leaking bothers me to a small extent. I have not started dripping or topping off yet. I am still reading up on a lot of the finer points of vaping. The .5 difference is really a combination of the more solid and durable feel I get with the Njoy, the longer battery life Njoy has had so far and the leaking around the cart on the Janty. I think if any one of those factors were different then I would rank them on equal footing. The harder draw on the Njoy doesn't end up being much if any of a negative since as long as the battery is charged and it has juice the system preforms so well. I have already gotten used to the long steady draw on my Njoy. It may be that opinion will change as I continue to use them both over time. These really are first impressions due to limited use. I look forward to learning more and staying pipe free. Thanks

I wanted to be fair to the places I have bought from and give an update on my experiences with the Njoy Ncig and the Janty Dura.
I have now had the chance to devote some real time to both e-cigs. A few things have cropped up in that time. The first that I wanted to address is the leaking with the Dura. While it is a minor annoyance I did not let it detract to much from my initial review. Now i have started to notice that the problem is greater or lesser dependant on the cart. The good news here is that once I find a hand full of carts that seem to really fit well then I can cross this off as a negative. The other thing I have found is that compared to the Njoy Ncig the battery life on the Dura is much less meaning I must make sure to always keep the spare battery charged. I am not marking this as a plus or minus really.
I did have what I think is the cleaning cycle experience with Noy though. This came as a bit of a shock and caused some initial concern and frustration. While happily puffing along the wonderfull flavor of my juice abruptly changed to something resembling burning rubber. I attempted cleaning it as described in the forum and after that seemed to have no effect I tried "smoking through it". That did eventually return to the atomizer to a pleasant and usuable state. I do wish though the the Njoy was able to preform well without this feature.
I am slightly adjusting my scores for both.
NJoy Ncig- 3.75
Janty Dura-3.75
At this point I have about the same amount of positive to say about both and while they are great products in my mind, they are not without some flaws and due to that fact I cannot rate them higher.
I am slowly working my way through various juices. Until I have tried enough I won't bother to post my opinions.

My Njoy Npro starter kit arrived yesterday. I took spikes advice and let both chargers go overnight. Both chargers showed green lights within an hour of plugging in but I resisted temptation and waited till the morning to try them out.
I'm glad I watched the newbie videos first and used a primer pull and focused on slow steady inhales. The first battery I tried the led doesn't light up but it still seems to produce vapor ok? Hope this is not a sign of things to come. The other three all seem to work just fine so maybe it's something I'm doing wrong? You definitely have to pull harder with the e cigs but so far it hasn't been a problem. The taste has been good. It's been great to be able to vap while i'm on the computer again. Had given up smoking in the house due to my significant others lung problems.
The weight is significantly different but I really haven't minded it much. I know John is hoping it works out well for me as I'm sure he's getting sick of putting the program were watching on hold so I can go outside to smoke. Besides I'm tired of freezing my .... off outside.
Several coworkers are excited to see my new toys on Monday. One is also trying to cut down on analogs due to health reasons so we may have another convert soon.
I am really excited about this and am really happy to have found a place that doesn't mind newbies and everyone seems to enjoy sharing advice and information. I have yet to find anyone around here who is using them so its been a great help having someplace to look for reliable info.
Day 1 and counting!!!!!:D

Nice to see that I am not the only one from Philly here. I have been trying some of the various flavors of juice lately. I thought I would throw out my two cents and suggest a few new flavors.
-Steak
-cheesecake
-Captain Black

Ok so the first two might be better as food but mmmm just thinking about vaping steak. yummy
