Intro and New Mod advice!

Hello everyone, I'm a little new here, just getting my bearings. I have vaped in 2010/2011 and made it 8 successful months before eliquid supplies ran dry, couldn't find a steady good liquid and the devices were hard to keep up with back then. First week of December a vape shop opened up in my small town, I had to take a look! So far, so good.

I've since purchased an iStick and a nautilus mini, I've done TONS of research...probably watched all of phil brusardo's videos as well as many others. Having a great time. My longtime girlfriend said, she likes the iStick and nautilus match and she would like to try to stop smoking and start vaping(yay!)

So that leaves me with a question...which device should I get? I love the iStick but think I'd like to have something a little more advanced. I've thrown around the idea of the new MVP 20 but feel like I should get a 40 watt device if I go the box route. I LOVE having a battery meter and knowing my device has plenty of battery for me to vape away. If I go the box route, I may just get a full sized nautilus tank, as I have to refill my mini around lunch time at work now.

I've also thrown around the idea of a mech mod with an atlantis. I need to keep things rather simple as I will be taking this device to work. I work outside doing construction mostly and traveling a lot. I thought I may be able to pick up a nice mech mod, throw the tank on, refill and replace batteries as necessary. I've looked at the HCigar Skeleton key clone and love it, but it doesn't have a magnetic switch? Seems like something I may want in a mech mod.

Anyway, I'm open to ALL suggestions but know I will be using this thing a lot at work. Thanks all!

I say go for a box mod out of the gate. They can do everything a mech does and more IMO. I have a Nemesis mech and a DNA30 box and hardly touch my mech anymore. Fun thing about the box is that you can use tanks or RDA's on it. I can switch from my Nautilus Mini to my Atlantis to my RDA and just change settings and have had no issues.

I think I'm with you Corbs. Box mod it is. I will still get a mech mod at some point...maybe if nothing more than to look at and use once and a while. Kind of want to stay "with the times" I suppose, but not sure if I should splurge for the DNA40 or not, Hana Mod looks amazing, but the price tag doesn't. Especially if I'm not going to use any of those features. Now the ultimate question... DNA 30, DNA 40, MVP20...?

I currently vape my iStick at 10-11 watts and don't really understand the benefit of vaping at higher wattages..do I need to be going over 20 ever? dripping, sub ohm, etc?

If you're going to get an Atlantis, you'll want more than 20 watts. If you think you're headed down the vaping rabbit hole and may move on to building coils, RDAs, etc. then maybe a 40 watt+ device is what will get it done for you. Better to have more power than not enough!

Cheap mech clone for work. Maybe even a cheapo box "mech" like that Dovpo gx 200 thing. IDK cant speak for that one personally, I did hear china was coming out with cheap mosfet boxes very soon though.

Maybe that is a good idea. How well would the aspire cf mod or sub ohm mod be for work? And maybe a sigeli 50w or something for home?? Both with Atlantis tanks?
