I just figured I'd drop in and say hi. I've been browsing here for awhile and finally took the leap to the PV about a month and a half ago. It was originally for a cheaper way to mix with my analog use but. . . . I haven't lit a analog since that time and that's from a 2 to 2 1/2 pad smoker for almost 20 years. It's been a amazing, fun and somewhat lifechanging experience.
I chose a 808 device and invested enough in equipment to be sure there were no interruptions due to lack of liquid, equip failure etc. To this point all has gone well with the exception of a few minor hiccups that seem to be the bread and butter that come with getting started.
I seem to have settled on a few flavors as a staple, I'm quite happy with the equipment i'm using and believe I may be settling on a carto. All in all things are looking pretty favorable for my continued us of the PV and avoidance of the analogs. At any rate, I just wanted to say hello and thanks for all of your wonderful advice and information which i was absorbing quietly in the background.
