Just got an email from Jon in regards to my order - it contained an apology and an explanation of someone had made a mistake and marked it as shipped. He sent me a picture of the device and order form. Just so you guys know.

I'm glad we cleared this up. Just to be clear, I'm not complaining about legitimate gripes, and most of them are. I'm talking about private PMs and emails which have been way over and above anything that's been posted on the forum. I'm not complaining about anyone wanting a refund - it's the way in which they "request" it that's the issue.

Here's the thing: when we first started this endeavor we were naive, wide-eyed guys with a hope and a dream. Sounds like a bad '40s movie. We believed our machinists when they said, "Oh sure, we'll have everything done in two weeks." We believed them when they said "Next week, for sure," and "By the end of the day." Yes, we know what it's like to be in your shoes.

Then, it turns out the Futura is a lot more difficult to build than originally thought. So, more delays as we figured out ways to speed things up. Meanwhile, time is flying by with no orders shipped. I won't mention the myriad of small issues, all of which contribute to the traffic jam. So yeah, we were in over our heads.

Now, however, we can build these things relatively quickly. By quickly I mean we have total build time down to about 45 minutes per unit. What we don't have is a 24/7 production line with 1,000 $.50/hour laborers. If we did, you'd all have had units within 3 days.

I'm a trumpet player, and a few years back I ordered a custom horn which had a lead time of two years. Money upfront. Why? Because they were all done by one guy in a tiny shop. We have more people than that, but at the moment, for example, only two of us (I'm one) know how to do the rockers properly. So, as you can imagine, this can cause a slight backup.

Anyway, this isn't intended as a bunch of excuses, which I guess it is, sort of. More of a mea culpa and a glimpse into our lives as entrepreneurs in this bizarre industry. We're trying! And we'll keep on keeping on until everyone's happy. See, I'm still wide-eyed and naive. :)

Honestly Jon i am not usually this impatient with things in my life. I am usually a compassionate and understanding kinda guy. For some reason this whole ecig world that i have gotten into has made me impatient and also sensitive to business procedures and etiquette. Something to do with the "Chasing the Dragon" lifestyle that i have incorporated into my already hectic life.

If i could recommend one thing to you mate, it would be to scale down and focus on the customers you have already and supply them with something that you yourself would pay for, this includes the customer service that goes along with it.

I understand many would probably think, who is this guy and what right does he have to give advice or question ones business ethics. To those people i would say... you are probably right.

Cut your nic down to 12mg, take two aspirins and email me in the morning. No, I appreciate the feedback. As you probably know, we haven't taken any new orders for nearly a month now, and we won't until every last unit already purchased is delivered. We could actually be making some serious scratch if we accepted every plea that comes in, but we've learned that lesson all too well.

I love all the fan mail. This guy's received his refund, as have all who've requested one, and the matter's closed. In fact, he emailed once which, in the deluge of mail I receive daily, I neglected to reply to immediately. That shouldn't have happened - my bad. But occasionally I get tired of the trash talk and respond in a slightly snarky manner. If, in fact, I've offended anyone (other than this person), I apologize. But I do appreciate those who've had uncanny patience with our attempts to get these things done and out the door. Some have waited 3 months for their units, as opposed to three weeks. Takes all types, I suppose.

This is the chief reason I asked for a refund. You are a liar. When have I engaged in trash talk? When have I actually disparaged or trashed the character of your company? Before today? Everything I have said to you in private I posted here, save the emails that were 1 line, stating the questions, "When will this ship", "Can I change to a 510 only" "Is it possible to get a refund" and "when will I get my refund" those are not word for word, but I'd be glad to post the actual emails if need be.

Even in this message, you state I recieved my refund, which you keyed in at 12:54 my time CST today, 9:54 yoyr time, so please quit with the blatant dishonesty, as though you gave me my refund days ago. It was only after I went nuclear that I got it.

Furthermore, what have I said that is wrong? Have I lied about you and your company Jon? Prove that all of that piss poor customer service I posted is a lie, go ahead, I'm willing to admit that I'm wrong. Just prove it. It should be easy enough to prove me wrong, what I stated is verifiable fact, not opinion, it is MY OPINION that you are a liar, but it is a fact, that you have lied to and misled me and others.

If me being honest about my experience with your company is seen as an insult, or trash talk, you really need to look at what you're doing wrong.

If honesty is an insult, then honestly, what does that tell us about your character?

You likely won't hear from me again, if you do it'll be 2nd hand about how I was running you down, respond, don't respond, I don't care, I won't be in this thread again.

I hope everyone else has better luck than me, I hope it's a great device. Happy vaping.

EDIT: I want to add, none of this would have ever happened, had we not started at a completely dishonest premise. The site said "In Stock", those words DO NOT mean preorder, the average consumer takes those words to mean that the device is ready to ship. Pretty simple concept really.

You knew damn well you had a backlog, and you knew damn well anyone purchasing at that point were looking at weeks on end of waiting, I waited a month before I asked for a refund, because I didn't want to be part of a preorder, and had the site given any indication that a month later I would still be waiting, I would have never ordered in the first place.

All of the fan boys in this thread may suck up all of your drippings, but not me, hell there are still idiots who think they'll get a J-Box 1 year later too. Kinda shows the intelligence of the average fan boy now doesn't it?

Shut up taptalk

Nj1001 that r91 is sick!! Is that the mini conversion kit? Im sure I'm wrong on what it's called.

Nah, just the m tank(?) I think. Got it off vaperev a while ago after dropping it on tile in my bathroom and cracked the original frosted tank clear off. Couldn't find a replacement in stock but found that instead. Not using a window while waiting for it to be delivered was rough as I feared running my cotton dry all the time.

Personally I am looking forward to receiving mine.

All the reviews seem great except for the first batch that went out and those were fixed if you wanted to send them back (more time waiting). Time is the biggest complaint here. When they were listed as in stock people got hyped up about receiving there device soon. If everyone received their device tomorrow then all would be good in futura world, but most are still waiting. I would be worried if there were complaints about a defective product that the manufacturer refused to fix, or a refund that was refused. That hasn't happened that I have read. Again the complaints have centered around something not being done in a timely matter.

The updates Jon posted here recently really help alot to give people an idea as to when their device will be ready to ship. My order is #1992. Previous post by Jon said it should ship 12/20 or 12/21. So if monday comes and I don't have an e-mail from them then I will inquire about my order.

I do feel bad for Com76 when his order was marked shipped then retracted to being built.

I placed my order Nov 2nd with no idea when the device would be ready or shipped. If I have to wait 2 months to get an exceptional device that is fine for me. There was a week soon after the site listed them in stock and the communication was lacking that I was worried. Now with the updates I am fine for now. Will I be happy with the final result?

Only time will tell.

Wide eyed and open expectations. I have been talking to Jon personally. And I think we all owe the man a whiskey or two. Where I come from (Texas) we give a man helping us out a drink to show our appreciation. Jon, when you come to Houston let me know. You ... is as good as drunk. Let me know and I will show you the best BBQ in the world. Get some rest. Then, do what you do best: build some badass mods. Or keep build Futura's.

Thanks, man, I appreciate that. Can we have Irish with that BBQ? That would be great.

So, I'll be posting all the shipped units' numbers tomorrow. 24 in all, including a Paypal order or two. We'll be building all day Sunday and Monday, and those will be dropped off Tuesday. Not sure if USPS ships on Xmas eve, but they may.

I don't even have one on order (yet), but kudos to you for getting on here, ignoring all the BS that was said, and providing some over the top customer service. Well done sir.
