I've been following this thread for quiet some time in the hopes of getting a futura..and I was really disappointed to learn that NexGen has been experiencing problems. I do work in small business development in my country and I am fully aware of the problems and risks small businesses have to encounter. I am really happy that NexGen is on its path to recovery ..it's always refreshing to see innovators make it through the initial risky years.

Having said that I visited the website again, and I could not find any price information or how to actually place an order. So..does anybody know the price of the futura 30? and how to order one?

More crucially, can one of the members that have recently received their futura post a quick review? that would be very helpful for all of us who are considering making a purchase.

This seems to be a common problem when the battery spring "matures," so to speak. Try either stretching it or doubling up the spring with the spare one we included. If you don't have it anymore, email or PM me and I'll send you a couple. Btw, this step is especially important for the dna 30s, as the extra power requires an even more solid ground connection. So, anyone needing extra springs, let me know - no charge. Customers only, please :)

Mine does the same thing. I bought mine on the classies, as I was not able to get one new (Still waiting for orders to open again, now that NexGen is 'back on track'). Can you post a picture of the double spring mod? Not sure how to 'double it up'. Thanks Much....

NexGen has been closed for new orders since before the New Year. They are filling back-orders...if I recall, they start at $239 new.

The price is $229. They should be taking orders again soon.

Actually they took new orders in January and February. That's when I ordered mine.

It's simple - just place the new spring on top of the one installed in the battery cap. Doesn't have to be secured, but be sure not to lose it when changing batteries. Another tip: loosen the tube sections a bit when changing batteries and before screwing on the cap. Makes it easier to install and prevents possible cross threading.

Wonder what's in the cards for the new models. I'm being cautiously optimistic. I'm sure it will look good and I'll want one but what's the delivery schedule going to be like this time.

First, it's gonna look great. Guaranteed. Second, this time around we'll only sell existing, in-stock units. No pre-orders.

Argh. My "vape budget hands" are tingling. I don't really need a new Futura (my original is still working great) but some how I'm ready to click.
Can't wait to see what comes Jon comes up with next. A bit shorter, 22mm straight (no cone), better 510, flush screen, independent buttons.

More or less a DNA is a DNA is a DNA, The consideration you need to make is what kind of package you want it in. For me, I dislike the big box mods (although I do have a VaporShark DNA now, but it's really small compared to other box mods). I wanted a DNA board (No PWM), I wanted a tube mod, I wanted one without weird cut outs, without telescoping, 22mm or more (instead of the wizard 21mm). Basically the Futura was the closest thing to meet all of my criteria and I really like it. If things work out for NexGen I do plan on buying the new model. I hope they stick with the same tube threading, I want to purchase a Tatroe wide base for my next one to keep at home. My current one has already seen some tough love and is getting dinged up :(

Anyone had delivery yet?

All outstanding orders have shipped, including repairs from awhile back. Not everyone's on the forum so you may or may not hear from those involved. As for new models, well, who knows? Maybe something will show up at Vapercon West in Reno next month. I've heard rumors...
