The magnets in that video sound crazy aggressive. I don't think we'll ever have to worry about the door coming off this mod.

I got a job offer this week, so I'm happy with that. Will start early next year. Now my goal is to get the mod shipped before Xmas so I can take a vacation and then call it a year.

I just finished the finals last week. Took a weekend off to get some rest. Now, I can dedicate all my concentration on finishing up the mod. It'll be ready soon. There was a small issue that I wasn't sure of and didn't have time to think about. Namely, that small possibility of shortening the battery with the aluminum housing if the negative end of the battery is not well wrapped. I mentioned it before and most users said it's not a big deal but I want to idiot proof the mod so I added an extra delrin piece to the door. Now, the battery will have a 1mm clearance with the aluminum housings so even if the wrapping deteriorates the only conducting path is through the fuse. Granted the aluminum is anodized and most batteries on the market don't have that problem, but I like to be safe.

Needless to say, a lot of thoughts went into it. All it requires is drilling a small hole to the existing door so it's not really a major change that's going to delay the mod. So don't worry about that.

I had to take a more delicate mod out on the boat the other day and it survived the mayhem, but I really want MyMods out there . . .

Oh yes, a very memorable day. Hardly had time to vape, let alone drink a beer. We had four people on the boat, so I've been sharing quite a bit of my cut with family and neighbors. So many tuna recipes to try, but plenty of tuna to try them on

You should try sushi or sashimi. Just slice it raw and fresh and all you need is some soy sauce and wasabi.

At this point I'm done with everything on my end. Just waiting for parts to be finished. I won't bore you with the details of the minor changes I made. They are mostly probably unnecessary, but more for me to rest easy. I will provide pics and videos as soon as it's ready (just like when I made that prototype). I can't wait for you guys to get it either so I can hear feedback about the design. It sucks I wasn't able to get it shipped before Xmas, but I think you won't be disappointed once you get the mod.

Today is Xmas eve, what are you guys doing for Xmas? Merry Xmas BTW.
