I think you are confused... There was never an authentic mini to be cloned and the only V2 out there is the full sized atty. Granted it is slightly shorter, (3mm), than the V1, but in no way is a mini. There has only been 1 mini released by China to date...

Edit I am confused..... China went ahead and just made a smaller velocity.... I guess that locking tab is in both versions..... So Hmmmmm ok velocity mini clone version 1

Yep they leak unless you make an effort to keep them upright. i carry my mods upright in a phone case on my belt, so i don't often suffer leaking atties.

They are still great atties and dead easy to build on.

Ok good, your not making jokes at my expense......

Yeah I know I have the dripbox 160 and I love love love the velocity style post first day building on them stupid easy... I don't have to bend my wires to accommodate they just pop in...... I'd probably say that this atty that came with this beast is garbage compared to the oem velocity but the posts are cool as hell!

My Manta doesn't leak unless I turn it upside down..... I thought the velocity had some M-atty hidden feature in the base that prevents leaking...... I still don't get how the M-atty doesn't leak with the slots right in front of the coil?? Watched Russell turn it sideways on film? Is it the way he beveled the AFC slot?

I mean I know most rdas leak...... Some more than other though. I stopped using the Derringer because of leaking. Love my Mantas

Leaking from a side air atty is 100% user error.
If I pocket my mod while I'm shopping or just walking around and it leaks out in my pocket ...... you consider that user error? There are natural born leakers.... The DERRINGER is one of those leakers that prone to leak in many situations ! There are other rdas like the Manta if in that same situation wouldn't leak so I don't get what you're saying..... what do you mean..... Like over squonking ?

What kind of bottle are you using? Really does make a difference how low you can get the bottle. I believe a fair number of us have gone to the soft Italian bottles in part for the ease of push and the ability to nearly empty the bottle without issue.
I use the old school bottles. I have good thumb strength so the "hardness" of the bottle doesn't bother me. It's just that when the juice gets low you have to squonk for a longer time. I squonk every hit or two.

I pocketed my tsnuami which is bottom airflow all weekend while csmping and drinming and I got no leaks. I vape the juice well dry. I used Derringers exclusively for a year+ with no leaking except from over sqounking. Every atty will leak if to much juice is put into it. Bottom is the easiest to flood, followed by side, then top of course. I don't see how any atty is quote leaky end quote. So yes, user error.

i use derringers

and wear dark clothes, it is worth it for the vape quality. Top air never floated my boat
IMO.... I think it really depends on the top air because I have the Vector which just has holes on top of the cap (there's nothing to direct the air in/out and right to the coils...... as opposed to the Manta where there's a directed pathway through the inner wall to the vented afc up top and off to the side. I think that's imperative..... because its concentrated as opposed to grabbing air from the entire Inner area (vector) .... I thought the Vector lacked in flavor because of that.....I dunno... That and the fixed top drip tip cap.....

Which top air have you tried?? ..... Because if I was to have given up after one bad experience, I would hate top air also because of my experience with the Vector....!

I used to love the magma bottom air because of that same kind of pathway but that was terrible "LEAKER"..... It didn't come with a USER MANUAL [emoji15] [emoji16]

I wonder what kind of drip tips you guys use. I've always used the stock drip tips that has roughly 4mm inner diameter and about 30mm in length. I've never tried the wide bore tips. Does anyone know how drip tip length/bore affect the vape? Thanks

stock derringer tip

i did kinda like the tips on tfv4 tanks when i tried them, AFC in the drip tip

I've got DOZENS of tips, and they have a more dramatic impact on the vape than you would expect.
A fair number of them, I got for like $3 on Fasttech - some are crap, but some of those get used regularly, too...
When I'm trying out a new RDA, that's part of it - experimenting and finding the one or two tips that pair with it well. It impacts the airflow... And airflow of course is a critical part of the equation and complicated enough that it's really always going to be experimentation that finds the best result.

I squonk about every three or so drags, I run a standard ming style drip tip, on an IGO-S, with readyxwick on a mundys magic coil, around .8 ohms.
I don't like shorty or wide bore tips.
The flavor isn't as concentrated for me, it is also hotter the shorter the tip.
Conversely the longer tip is cooler and feels as though the battery is low.
I've tried super narrow bores, but that just resulted in juice condensation so much I get juice in my mouth and the flavor wasn't better.
Cherry vapes ming tips or pawns are what I use almost all the time despite having boxes of different styles. Hope that allegory helps relate to your style.

One that's stood the test of time is the Router. It's like $20, but I have a couple and wouldn't part with them...
Here's 4. Coincidentally all black, and not THAT much of a range in bore...I guess I do have a "usual" style... "Kinda short, and kinda medium bore" lol.

Here's some fun I just had this evening polishing some tips to an even more enjoyable smoothness.
One on the left is how they come stock, two on the right got smooved out.View attachment 560953

Those glass drip tips you posted are interesting. I've never tried them. I assume the wide portion is all hollow and the thing is blown with uniform thickness throughout?
