Introducing myself

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and this is my first post. My son got me started on E-cigs. I've been using them for about a week. I have smoked ever since Vietnam back in 1970. I used to be 1 1/1 pack a day smoker and with the E-cig, I have only smoked about 1/2 pack a day.
I'm using the e-cigs from Vapor4Life and still struggling but time will tell.

(Visinedrops on this forum is my son)

My picture is a photoshop of myself and shows how I feel when trying to stop smoking.. Ha Ha

Welcome and keep the faith.... Its a bit of a struggle, but this forum and support is a great start to help you out.... I was able to win the battle of smoking in a smoking bar last week and didn't have one temptation to light up an analog... My vape was all i needed and was more than happy. Well until the next morning hangover...

Thanks for the encourgement laf, I've tried many times and get so I can't live with myself. Everything pisses me off, people, traffic the whole ball of wax. I'm hoping the E-cigs will help and so far so good. My wife is deaf and she hates me smoking so I want to try AGAIN to stop.
Like they say, It's almost harder to quit cigs than trying to quit .......

Welcome to ECF, Rusty and congrats on making the switch. Visine needs a hug for helping you! {{{{{{{{{{Visine}}}}}}}}}

Making the switch completely is difficult for some people. Quite a few of us have smoked and vaped, slowly decreasing the amount they smoke and replacing it with vaping. Don't knock yourself too hard about it. Around here, it's not a big deal and we're just happy that you're giving vaping a real go. Going down to half a pack from a pack and a half is an awesome start!

Good to see another Vet here, too! My family has a long military service record. My dad, my brother (he was in 'Nam from 71-73, but died after he came back home), me and both of my sons! HooRah!

Hi Rusty! Welcome to ECF! Vapor 4 Life kits like you're using are great. I find that having lots of different flavors to vape keeps it interesting, and curbs my urge to smoke. I was a 2pack a day smoker myself, for 30 years, and was magically able to quit smoking the day I started vaping. I still have an urge occasionally - but then I go vape some peanutbutter or lime or something yummy, and I forget about it.
I don't know what part of the state you're in, but if it's as rainy and gray where you are, as it is where I am...well that makes it harder to stay quit I think!!!
Best of Luck to you!!

I also use V4L after starting out with another brand. I just could not beleive all the flavors they have and the more I wanted to try them the less I wanted to smoke. I started to vape, not to quit smoking, just use it in places where I could not smoke. And to everyones amazement as well as mine, I no longer smoke! I love vaping!! After smoking for 40 years......go figure

It's raining here a little bit. Sun is trying to shine. Snow is almost all melted in my yard. I'm in Wenatchee. Nice to meet you.
