Hello to everyone and just wanted to introduce myself and ask a question if someone could help me.

I was a pack a day smoker for 7 years and got my first e cig kit and began using it 3 days ago. Upon using it, my 20-25 cig a day habit dropped to 2 and yesterday I only had 1!!!! I was skeptical of this and even acting upon cravings have cut down to 1-2! My question is is it ok since I have cut back so much within two days to smoke 1 or 2 cigs for the next few days and since I am used to smoking so few will it be easier to quit completely now? So far it has been a breeze and if want to keep it that way :) Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

Ya why not what ever works for you.Getting off the killers can be harder for some looks like you doing good just keep it up.There is alot of people that have still had a cig here & there to stay on path myself included. Now i'm on 2 years vaping and no cigs needed.

Thank you for the reply and the encouragement! Congrats on 2 years!!! I think I just need to know that I am not alone in finding that I still have 1-2 cigs while starting to vape and that people in my boat do end up quitting altogether. I hope it is a bit easier with having 1-2 cigs a day than it would be with 20 cigs a day.

Whatever works. Not everyone quits totally the first day. You're doing GREAT! Allow yourself to do this YOUR way. Aren't you proud of the progress you've ALREADY made? I was amazed at how well this worked for me. You're doing great....when you need a cig, vape a few minutes before you let yourself have it....then if you still want one, go for it. You may find that after you've vaped for a few minutes to stall yourself, that you won't even want it after all. :)

Congrats on making the switch!

See, here's one of the great things about E-cigs: No pressure. They make quitting tobacco almost trivial, but how one quits is a personal thing. Some people need time to wean themselves off, others quit the moment they get their first kit, and a few still like the occasional ciggie. And any one of those is fine. E-cigs are such an ideal replacement for analog cigarettes that you can flip from one to the other as you need without worry and quit at the pace most comfortable to you. That lack of pressure in itself works to make quitting even easier because it puts the ability and power in your hands, not your addiction's, because your addiction is being fed either way.

But once you finally do make that transition to go all E-cig, it won't take very long at all before your senses of taste and smell start to bounce back to the point where if you do end up having a cig a few days to a week or more in, it's going to taste fairly nasty, which will only reinforce your commitment to E-cigs.

Just take it at your own pace, quit cigs when you feel you're ready and you'll have no trouble. You've already almost quit and that much as you found out for yourself is dead simple. Going that extra step or two may be a little more difficult if the hardware and juice you currently have aren't completely ideal for your personal tastes, but if you like what you've got better than cigarettes, you should have no trouble. If not, don't worry about it. Try some other juices, maybe try another piece of hardware you think might be a better fit, and then see how it goes. No rush. :)

yup, as stated already.. alot of came into vaping "just to cut down" on analogs..never even thinking quitting completely was possible (i was one of em)

the longer you vape..the more analogs taste like crap which leads you into choosing the PV over the analog and eventually you just convert completely...so yup, no pressure is the way to go imo...

hell, i still have an analog when im around friends for curiousity purposes, only to find myself giving it back and wondering why my chest hurts -.-
