I understand but seen the pictures and can see the tooling marks which is indication of chromed over and not stainless but the pictures iv'e seen could be older pictures and not what actually came to market and or the design changed. It says stainless.
Why all these folks chose to copy the clumsy, multi-part DID in the first place is beyond me.The AGA looks like a metal tank. When will they learn?
No. The tanks ends are threaded like a VIVI Nova. And the way the o-rings sit, right up against the fittings I doubt a clear tube could be added.wonder if the clear tanks work on them also?
I greased the top o-ring with silicone (the cap and bottom both fit over them in a depression). It needs a litrtle muscle but mine lines up. Sanding down the cap doesn't really help.I understand but seen the pictures and can see the tooling marks which is indication of chromed over and not stainless but the pictures iv'e seen could be older pictures and not what actually came to market and or the design changed.
I figure Gormly would know one way or other as he has them and can tell.
Edit : also does the top cap airhole line up with 1 of those wick holes, it sure can be a vaping monster with those 2 wick holes next to the ground posts.
It appears to be full SS, they should have shaved the top a bit. It's very heavy. These things have no need to have so much metal on them.Is the AGA stainless or chromed over metal ?
Here in 5th picture . Hold mouse over it and it will give a closeup of it.
Now by looking at all 5 pictures i see 2 different models of it cause the knurl on both is different.
AGA Hydra - Rebuildable Atomizer - Stainless
Thanks i thought i was getting the ole flashbacks from the early 70s !the last two pictures were from the manufacturer, the first two are from me. the last two were placehlders until I got mine up just hadn't deleted them yet.
This is entirely stainless and there are no tool marks
The air hole does not line up against the wick, but this is easily rectified as it has a bit of leeway in the tightening it seems. I did some tests turned it a bit, no leaks and was on pretty solid.
For the question of why so much metal... because we can't win..we get a thin metal tank chromed brass etc.. everyone asks for stainless.. we get a stainless, some people say but why?
Different strokes.
For me, looks and feels great on a lambo lol, I could knock someone out with this setup!
for the question on the clear tubing..stay tuned, more things are a comin'
(but no the griffin tubes will not fit this is a lot bigger.)

One more question do you know if this eventually will come with a clear tank.
Argh. Limit of 2 clear tanks. I need at least 4
No spare caps either?
Why do I have to be broke right nowGrrrrrr.
