Hope this is okay Eric. I was unsure of when clear tanks were coming in stock and got tired of not knowing how much juice was left in my griffin so I decided to make my own. Used a old 10 ML syringe the letters had rubbed off so not sure of manufacturer. I have no pipe cutter so used a razor blade to cut it slightly larger than metal tank. Then with a sheet of sand paper on a hard surface ground it down both sides using circular motion until exactly matched height of metal tank washed and installed. (make sure exact match or a hair less or will have problems getting top cap to thread on center post). Added benefit can know see that air hole matches wick. I think they look beautiful with either tank.

This is making me antzy!!! So the inside diameter is 10mm? Thanks didn't wanna have to take my nice coil off to measure

no but walls of syringe were about 1/2 to 1 mm and exterior of griffin is 16 mm.

How often does the SS mesh needs to be replaced? How is the wicking for chain vaping? And does it leak if it's upside down? Thanks

The mesh is alright for chain vaping you just want to tilt it.
Mine only leaks out of the wick if I hold it upside down and I leave my fill screw out.
I'm not sure how long the mesh will last. I would think until it finally breaks down. The oldest wick I have is 2 months old and still going strong. I would probably know how long they last if I didn't keep re-making them to try something different

I measured my Griffin tank the other day: (I used a non-digital caliper.)
25mm - L
16mm - OD
15.5mm - ID
0.5mm - Wall thickness

Oooooo. I had ordered some tubing that might just work. Gonna have to wait till I get my new Griffin so I don't have to take my current one apart I have had the tubing for a little while so hopefully it fits and can put it to use I'll post pics when I get a chance to check it

I'm still trying to get mine to wick properly. Oxidized the living crap out of the wick, still get shorts sometimes, but more commonly when its not wicking properly. The mesh that came pre installed with mine didnt seem to wick very good, so i said alright, ill try my own. #400 mesh came a day or two later, installed it, and im still having trouble trying to get it to wick well. It will wick alright off and on with a full tank, but after a while it just doesnt wick. Nastttty terrrrrible burned hits. Hopefully somebody has some advice to get this thing working like it should. However, I will say this. When this thing works, my god its awesome. Best flavor and Nic devilery of any wicking types ive had. 18mg juice, and i normally use 24-30mg and i was getting nic highs after just a couple puffs. Flavors amazing. But as it stands i pretty much have to directy drip juice onto the mesh/coil to get any non-dry hits.




With oxidizing the mesh, i did it how ive read, butane torch and water burn x3, ejuice burns afterwards to get a nice carbon layer, and id repeat these steps as much as necessary. When i rolled it, i rolled it around a small paperclip. Also, I've tried using cheesecloth for wicking as well in these, and it still didnt wick good with cheesecloth either, so i dont know wth.

Oxydize your wick first then Try a peace of rolling cig paper on the wick and wrap your coil on top of it , then dry burn " this will help biuld a layer of carbon under the coil quicker " then see how it goes and even the space between the coils... You should get it running ..oh and try to burn your wick when it's rolled , it's better cos by rolling it you will take the oxy off ... Hope t helps ... Cos it's one hell of a Vape !! Enjoy

I ordered a couple Wed. evening after they came in. USPS shows that they got the package on Wed, but actually shipped on Thursday. They won't be here 'til Monday. Darn USPS. Still... CT to LA in 3 'working' days isn't terrible.

Yea, I was trying to figure out who cornolio was, names don't match up here to orders so no way to tell

No griffin order was help up more than 18 hours max, all first day orders shipped next morning unless there was something special about the order, all orders are out now also, I have 5 waiting currently from 8PM on, everything else is either shipped or packaged waiting for a label.

One order is being held by request it was an international order, person asked me to hold it until they order more items to save shipping.
