so i got some new juice in today..

i removed the 2.2 ohm head that was working great.. put in the 2.5ohm let it sit for a good 20 mins
took a few draws without hitting the button to be sure..vaped great..for about an hour..

then got a burnt taste .. checked volts was only at 3.7

let it sit for a few mins.. few good draws .. then burnt taste..

well to make this long story short .. i took the head apart and the wicks even the ones that just lay on top were all black right down the center and the coil itself was black

like 8 small wicks twisted into a bundle .. and 3 similar size that were resting on top all black in the center

Mn0qegK.jpg

put the 2.2 ohm head back in ..and other than a mixxed flavor for a while (raspberry danish and mocha latte is surprisingly good together) its working great like it did before

Thanks for the welcome back, guys. :)

But - I jinxed myself. I got myself one stubborn tank right now, I guess i'll have to peruse this thread a bit. There is no air (or vapor) coming through... If I let it sit a bit, i get one puff, but that's it. I guess i'll have to pull out a tread? Hmmm...

Also, to what Bad said about different juices and systems and such - it is so true. For a flavor fanatic like me, each juice needs to be played with and fitted not only to the best delivery system, but also to the best power system. And then to the best power. I am at the point where I don't stick to one system anymore. There are several that work reliably for me - which is fantastic as far as I am concerned. I am still in awe as to how quickly we got here, tech-wise. I won't even mention the fact that I remember the straw-mod, but most people probably remember when the CE2s were cranky and needed to be played with to work reliably. Now I expect whatever I get to work reliably right out of the box - and it's not a statistically unreasonable expectation. Amazing. :vapor:

My next step is to get into rebuildables - scary.

I've been over reading another really long thread about Natural Tobacco e-juice ( NET )... so I missed also welcoming you back... you've been missed for certain...

When others that I don't know well and appear to be new to vaping say they have an issue with something, it's always in the back of my mind that it may just be an experience level issue... But it worries me when someone with your experience that I'm familiar with has one. Please post back what you find and hopefully it is minor. I think you know this, so these suggestions are probably more for others... Take it off of the device and do a test pull on it... if it is better use a 510-510 extension.

I introduced an almost brand new vapor to one of these Vapeonly tanks ( she ordered it from GV of course along with some Hush... again of course )... and she has been ecstatic with it so far. I got to test hers a for a pull or two and it was a bit stiff of a pull for my taste but the vapor and flavor was great.

As for rebuildables... I can emphatically recommend two... the Birkshire II ( AGA-TII ) and one that GotVapes really needs to get in... the IGO-L which I believe is made by the same company. The Birkshire, I'll just direct you to the thread to read about since enough has probably been said there... The IGO-L is just slightly smaller in diameter ( 20mm vs 22mm ) and is just a rebuildable dripper atty that is very simple to work with. What I like most about it, it isn't so small as many of the phoenix style drippers so I don't have as many problems changing out the coil/wick. I really like using the Hyper SRT wick/coils with them since they are already setup with NR wire ( so I don't have too lol )

Hey, Rdsok - great to be talking to you again! :)

Nah, don't be concerned about this pup... Firstly, I'm not all that familiar with it yet. I got one, it worked great right out of the box, and then I immediately got two more. The first two I got regular 50/50 juice in, and they work great - nice smooth, "furry" flavor (as opposed to "sharpish" flavor from the ViVi), clouds of vapor, and very tolerant to voltage range.

The third one I am torturing... lol I got a very thick, natural tobacco extract (read: "dirty") juice in it that tastes great but is very hard on equipment. I think I just need to pull a few threads out of the wick. Right now it started working ok-ish, but is still very tight on the draw. I need to play with it a bit more.

I'm really happy with this tank so far. Maybe it's just not best for that particular juice. I suspect that this juice is best used in a dripper or something, it keeps killing everything I use it in.

BTW, I'm also very happy with the Vision Nano... I'm amazed - for the longest time I haven't liked anything bottom coil, and it hasn't liked me. Now I love these. Progress. lol

Cheers,
Briar.

Except for an RY4 which isn't too bad on the coils... I generally keep my NET e-liquids out of most of my tanks since they will gunk a coil in less than a tank full... Not too bad with the changeable heads on the Vivi Novas since I can pour the e-liquid back into an empty, change out the head and clean them... but it's a PITA to do that often. I've got a line on some NET's that aren't suppose to gunk up... I'll pass it on if that turns out to be "as advertised"... the sources seem very reliable so I don't have much doubt. I'm pretty sure I PM'd you long ago about the NET's I'm using now... same ones and still love the heck out of their flavor.

With a dripper like the IGO-L... it isn't any issue or much work at all... finish off whatever I dripped in... rinse and dry burn in no time.

Someone in this thread mentioned that it had a tight draw (can't find now through all the spam), but I seem to be having the opposite issues. Could it be that the atty isn't seated tight enough? Bit too airy on the draw for my liking, but other than that the flavor is good (not outstanding) and i like the look and tank size.

I'm giving up on the vapeonly. After taking out a wick it seemed to stop the gurgling but it came back after a tank and a half and couldn't make it work again. Replaced the head with the 2.8 ohm head and pretty much the same thing: vaped very well for a tank and a half and the gurgling started. The juice in the drip tip socket is not from condensation. While it vapes well there is no juice there but the moment the gurgling starts it gets full of juice. It is just being sucked up there. I'm sticking with top coils for now. The Vivi Nova, SplitFire and Titan all work flawlessly and super easy to clean and fill.

Edit: The Stardust Replaceable is also working like a champ. Seems the bottom coil design need a little more work to get rid of the gurgling that seems to inevitably happen sooner or later.

i would take it apart again then redo it and tighten it all then try, also you can remove one wick off the top of the wicks to increase vapor and flavor depending on your juice and preference

Spam ( in a forum ) is the posting of other advertisements etc... there has been no spam posted here yet. I suspect you mean "off topic" talk, of which there has been some but it is so hard to say if you are making up your own definitions

Nothing works for everyone. We all vape differently, draw differently, use different juices, wear different clothes. That doesn't mean that "the bottom coil design need a little more work".

The cartos that you mentioned that work great for you all don't for me, but the BCCs do work for me. Should they redesign the top coil cartos that you like so that they work for me?

I have been vaping exclusively for well over 3 years now. I have come to expect a bit of fiddling with most every tank as well as rebuildables. These Vapeonly BCC's have been no different. I now have all 4 of mine running perfectly.

It didn't really take much work on my part at all. I have 4 different juices going that are all very different from each other thickness wise. I filled the tanks one at a time and let them soak about 5 minutes. Then I took a few puffs without hitting the fire button to be sure I saw bubbles. One of them was perfect right from the start. The other 3 I had to take a strand or two of the wick out at a time until I could see a bubble or two with a dry puff.

The only real issue I had was that all of mine had a super stiff draw. Neither of the air holes are being blocked on any of them. I simply used the tiniest drill bit I had and made 1 hole larger on each one. Now all 4 of them are perfect. I personally take long slow drags so I like my draw to be just a bit loose.

The thing to remember is that everyone vapes differently, so these tanks might need to be adjusted to each person's preferences. Between these and my Evod tanks I am all set now. The best part is that these are super easy to rebiuld so long term expense is pretty minimal. Overall I am pretty impressed with these and will likely buy 4 more to put away for spares.
