VapeSafe2 - REUSEABLE 2 Cents For Safety mod Safety Fuse
$14.95

Lithium Ion batteries, while generally described as "safe" have been known to vent hot gasses and in some cases, explode. The leading cause of a venting battery is a hard short.

The VapeSafe2 is a mechanical fuse that trips if it senses a short in the mod by shutting down the battery. The VapeSafe2 can also help protect variable voltage circuitry, hot springs and other circuitry that you would not want to be damaged because of a hard short.

What is New in The VapeSafe2:
The VapeSafe2 will automatically reset numerous times before needing to be replaced, preventing a number of shorts from occuring. However continued shorts or prolonged shorts CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE THE VapeSafe2. In other words, it won't last forever and ever.

Instructions on use of VapeSafe2:
  • Place magnet side to negative or positive side of the battery. Insert battery into the mod according to manufacturers instructions. Now you are protected.
  • If a hard short occurs the VapeSafe2 will quickly trip, preventing thermal runaway.
  • Once the short issue has been resolved the VapeSafe2 will automiaticlaly begin working normally again.
  • Typically replacing a bad atty/carto should resolve the issue. If your mod still doesn't work, try a fresh battery.
  • If the mod continues to fail do not attempt to us without the VapeSafe2.
  • The short is then potentially in the mod itself and needs to be corrected before it will be safe to use again. Contact your Mod manufacturer for further troubleshooting advice.

Was disappointed I couldn’t charge my CR123 batteries in the XTAR, still use my Buzz’s and VMax (when you going to get the ZMax and/or the silver Gripper? I can see retiring an Buzz or 2 for air travel), liked the idea of using it to charge stuff when traveling, I’m just putting another charger in my checked bags but now know I’ll be able to charge the 2X batteries if my checked bags don’t make it. I’ll need at least 4 more spacers to charge a pair of 18350 but that’s OK, doable is it.
