Hi,
I joined about a year ago but never have posted. I tried to learn about the PV but couldn't even understand the lingo.

I came back last week and now there is a fabulous 6 part series of information 8-o that helped a LOT!!!:D (love smiley's)

Anyhoo, I spent a week on here reading and decided on the Joye 510 from Cignot. I ordered their starter kit, an extra extended life battery, extra cartridges, extra atomizers, and some extra juice- even some chocolate flavored- I think total of 30ml of extra juice. The kit comes with 5 pre-filled cartridges so I thought that would be enough to get me started.

I have been smoking for 34 years and currently smoke about 2 packs a day. I have actually cut down. So at 50 years old, I have to quit smoking regular cigarettes and feel the PV will help me kick it for good this time.

Fortunately I have no health problems yet but at this time in my life, it's just a matter of time if I don't stop now.

I hope to get to know you all and become an active member in your on-line community.

hugs
Colleen

Yay! Congrats on taking the dive in! I did recently as well, and my husband as well. As someone that works in both a Neurosurgery and a Cardiology clinic... I know the dangers of smoking analogs, but didn't find a way to quit until I started doing my research on this site. Yay for ECF!!

Yep, the wonderful world of vaping series is a great read and extremely informative.

Helped me even after I had mine.

After I got my 510, my smoking became less and less over a period of 3 weeks. After 2 days of one analog each day I just figured out that I did not need them anymore.

It's a heck of a journey. Congrats on the first step. I still wonder where this path leads...

Hi Colleen, and welcome. I'm the same age as you, and smoked analogs for about the same amount of time as you, so I'm glad you're here, and making the change to pv's. If you have any problems getting started, the folks on this forum are wonderful for helping you thru it. You made an excellent choice with the 510.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!! I just logged on to see if anyone had seen my thread and BAM all these wonderful posts!!!

oh, i forgot to mention in my initial post that I chose the manual switch too, not the auto one. I felt that with the higher initial heat that that was a better fit for me.

I will be reading some more today but truthfully, my eyes are so tired from reading here to much and need a compter break. lol

Be back later!

Thanks again !!!!
hugs
Colleen

Welcome, Colleen (even though you've been here longer than I have--LOL)! I'm hoping the mailperson brings my two 510 kits w/ manual switches from cignot today.

Congrats to you, too, Paul. Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Manual switches on the 510 are far superior to the autos.
    Good choice.

    Hi Colleen and everyone!

I'm new to this too. I'm waiting to receive my Ultimate Vaper4Life kit.
I hope I ordered the right thing. Is Cignot a better brand?

Let us know when you get your kit and how you like it. I should get mine today.

I'm so anxious to start this and am hoping for the best. I've been smoking for a million years and all previous attempts haven't worked.

    Love this forum.

Cignot and v4l are suppliers, and are both great to do business with. V4l sells the kr808, and cignot sells the 510. Neither is 'better', but they are different beasts. The 510 gives the best performance, the vapor is very smoke-like and boy is there tons of it! It's the forum favorite, and you cant beat $35 at cignot. The kr8 doesn't perform like the 510, but it's batteries last longer and it is a 2 piece "cartomizer" design which many find convenient to use on the go. your kr8 is a fine choice, and you can always upgrade to the 510 if you find the kr8 doesn't cut it. You may be like some of the folks here and love your kr8 just fine :)

Good luck to all the newbies, PVs are awesome

    Hi Colleen,
I'm new here also. Well just became a member today... been lurking for months....reading so much my head hurts...lol. I got the 510 with auto batteries and was wondering if the manual ones are better? I was smoking 2 packs a day and am slowly cutting back. I have been vaping for 2 weeks now and am down to a pack a day. I am looking forward to 0 a day...can't wait ;). I have found alot of fantastic info here and I'm sure I will have alot more to read and ask. Well happy vaping everybody. Be back often :)
