Introduction to the Provape side of lyfe:)

Hey all,
Just wanted to post and share I just purchased my first every provari 2.5 today on the classies.
I've been smoke free and vaping coming up on 4 years in January and have somehow managed to miss out on alot of the devices out there due to my love of bottom feeding, rebuildable mechs.

I've always wanted to experience the provari vape and almost did some 3 years ago when the only real discussion in stepping up was "buy a provari vs buy a reo"
Well I chose the latter and have been a happy camper.

But I've still had that naggin' what if...so as much as I don't know a thing about tanks and didn't care, now I do.
I have a aerotank coming with it and I've been told a nautilus is the way to go for flavor..

I'm a flavor chasing tootle puffer, but I tootle at .7ish ohms in single coils on teency weency atty's (igo-s) and really only chase my own flavor of diy vanilla that has also been my ADV for about 2 years now.

My hope is this device is as sweet as I've heard all these years and I welcome any suggestions you guys may have for a veteran that was fighting the good fight with another branch of dedicated pioneers.

Hey Buddy,
welcome to the other side! You won't get anywhere with a .7Ω on a 2.5. They really shine at 1.6-1.8Ω builds, I'll go 1.4Ω on my Igo-l/ Igo-w and other drippers. The Nautilus is probably the most universally accepted plug and play tank. I still run ProTank 2's on mine as well, with the aerobases, drilled out airholes, and wicked with cotton. I re-build the Kanger coils with res no-res wires in the 2.2Ω resistance and get great flavor and vapor for my tastes at 3.7-3.8 volts. Currently I've also been driving a Kanger subtank mini with the RBA section built at 1.8Ω. It won't fire below 1Ω and down that low you'll only get to push about 3 volts. It's a 14.5 watt, 3.5 amp mod. that is most enjoyable for a manual freek like me.
Yeah I have no plans on rebuilding on this setup, just using some of the tanks that are out there in the range you stated above.
I've had regulated devices and am currently playing with a gdna using TC with a .09ohm nickel single coil in an igo-s.
It is by far the most saturated wet vape I've ever had,(good thing) and I can run some of my more "delicate" juices that don't like a lot of heat. I've had no burnt taste on these sweet juices and with power at 30 watts it really is a satisfying vape.
I have my airholes drilled at 3/32 on the igo-s and it's a great little tootler.
So I've read the nautilus has a routine with priming and keeping the voltage down a bit for break in...no worries there...I used to be the carto master back in the day. Then I used HH357's and lr 306's like religion. (lr was 1.5 back then lol)
So this is going to be a fun experience I think.
Yearning for days gone by I suppose or like I said seeing what I might have missed during all that time
I hoping this is a plug and play vape, I can fiddle and tinker all I want with rda's on other stuff.
I ain't dripping that's for sure, talk about extra work!!
This I just want to screw in a coil, prime and press go till it's time for a battery change.

yep, I was really torn on the classic. that was an option today also in the classies.
but good ol 2.5 it is for me. I'll see how this goes, maybe more down the road, but to soon to tell yet, heck it still has to ship

I saw that I haven't tried a "Classic" yet, I'm thinking the lower end ohm wise might have been beefed up a bit in power available, but that's just a guess...maybe I'll get one off the "classies" one day

In my relatively vast collection of ProVarii, I have only one 2015 classic in gleaming Gun Metal ZenKote™ (imagine that)... Anyway... it's a nice PV, I like it... but if you're a fan of the old readout, that classic isn't really for you, and if you like the power of a P3, the classic ALSO isn't for you.... BUT, If you LIKE the P3 Menu, but use the 2.5 power range, then the classic is a bargain!

I like the teardrops and the screw-less screen of the Classic. It's a real looker!

I love the HH357 LB!

If you are into plug and play, I suggest looking into the Kabuki tank. MADE IN U.S.A., lifetime warranty, takes the Nautilus coil and has a, "set and forget" airflow set screw. Flavor and "House of Hybrids" customer service is amongst the best on the planet!

I whole heartedly agree!
The icons are ultimately what made me pass, too bad cause I agree it sure is a looker!
I didn't want something my wife couldn't use, and she would have hated the menus.

Did take me half a days research to reach the same conclusion, as I have no familiarity with the different models.
The one I picked isn't my favorite style, white with crop circles, but the tickets for the show couldn't be beat

I saw some cool jwraps I might get to tone down the "for pleasure with ribs" look of this white one

I just know I'm really excited to vape this bad boy!

So, in anticipation of my new arrival I've had some window shopping going on.
Mfs has the Nautilus and that latice metal tank...I like.
Is there that big a difference in 1.8 and 1.6 coils??
Which do you guys use?

Zen vapes both - doesn't prefer one over the other. I see a lot like the 1.8 and then adjust watt/volt to flavor.

If youre looking for flavor, buy the Kabuki, you'll be glad you did.

It blows all other clearomizers out of the water and has made a believer out of someone who avoided them for years.

And thats because they couldnt compete with my carto tanks for taste......not even close.

As far as juice delivery devices go, I rate them in this order in terms of flavor.

Carto

Clearomizer

Carto Tanks

Kabuki/RTA's

Dripper.

Well since all I use is a dripping atty I guess I'll never be satisfied with this device.

I've used it for just under a week now and my biggest grip is turning it off and on to quickly pocket it....you cannot quickly do that.

Is there a shortcut perhaps?
9 clicks, waiting 2 sec, 1 click, then two more sec is hardly practical for the working mans vape experience.

That old lavatube I spoke of was 5 clicks on, 5 clicks off. Quick, simple, still working after all these years for my wife.

On/Off (Atomizer) – Turning the atomizer on/off is done by holding all three buttons down at the same time for 3 seconds. Every time you hold these three buttons, the device will toggle back and forth between ON and OFF. You can also hold down all three buttons to continuously cycle between On/Off. In the event you will be storing the device in a pocket or purse and you do not want the fire button to accidentally get pressed, you can set this to OFF. The atomizer will not fire until you turn this back on or you remove the battery and reinstall, which will reset this back to ON.
