Hi ECF
I started vaping in November last year. I bought the Apollo Standard Kit and a packet of 50 Cartomizers (24mg). Prior to that I was a pack a day smoker (25 a pack in Australia).
First impressions of the Apollo Standard Kit:
Excellent, everything worked as it was supposed to but I literally killed the 2 batteries that came with it from overuse. Within a week I had vaped 21 cartomizers and placed my second order for another 100. I then realised that this wasn't going to cut it and upgraded to the Apollo Extreme Kit.
Review of the Apollo Extreme Kit:
If you are thinking of stopping smoking and want a device similar to a cigarette - this is the kit for you. The cartomizers are substantially longer lasting than the standard kit and the personal charging case is only an additional $20.
Fast forward 3 months:
I've spent over $300 on cartomizers and decided I was well over the whole "cigarette style" vaping device. As much as I loved the form factor I simply couldn't continue spending that much money on disposable cartomizers and I knew I wanted to upgrade. After looking at various Ego's and Tanks in addition to doing research I placed an order yesterday for an Innokin MVP V2 with 2x iClear 30 clearomizers and 10x replacement atomizers. I also included 500mls of 555 Juice at 24mg. This should get me through three months.
In summary, I've managed to quit smoking completely thanks to Apollo's starter kits. They are expensive but for what they are I don't think you could beat the quality. I'm currently vaping my last lot of cartomizers using a passthrough extreme battery ($12) whilst I wait for my order from Mount Baker Vapour to arrive.
It's funny this whole vaping thing. I don't regret spending a cent on any of my equipment however as I've entered the vaping world all my equipment is quickly becoming obselete. I definately view vaping as a hobby in addition to it being a new way of life. Thanks to Apollo for the introduction but I've outgrown your products. I skipped the "Ego" phase and decided to jump straight into a mod with the MVP2.
