Welcome to ECF!

When I was using my Subtank Mini's RBA, I was running a .8Ω coil (26GA, 5/6 wraps around a 3mm rod). I'd cut the wick with the ends just barely touching the build deck, wet it down, and gently tuck the ends back away from the juice channels before screwing the chimney assembly back on.

That said, I switched over to the OCC coils because they have more airflow. I was thinking of modding the airflow on my RBA, but I've been in enjoying the OCC coils so much that I probably won't be doing it any time soon.

I had a bad experience with both of the OCCs it came with, both lasted only about 4 days each and then the burnt cotton wick taste came, I think it is because I used a dark 100℅ VG liquid.. The rba is still going good on day 5 though so that's a good sign . I use a 26g Kanthal with 5 wraps on a blue screwdriver, it comes out to about .5-.6 ohms. . Have you recoiled and rewicked your OCCs? And what kind of cotton do you use, if cotton? Sorry about all the questions I'm semi new at vaping, and have 0 experience with rbas lol

No problem man.

Yeah, I just started rewicking the OCCs last week. For me, they're actually easier to build than the RBA because wicking the OCCs is much less finicky. Lol.

For cotton, I like the Japanese organic stuff. I find it's easier to work with than cotton balls because it comes flat with the strands strands already nicely lined up. I use Koh-Gen-Do but a lot of people seem to like Shiseido as well. You can find both on Amazon.

Hello and Welcome revofev2014
Subtank mini rba I had 26g 3mm 5w 1.2Ω about 17-20 watts
kgd with outer layers peeled off , snug through the coil then put chamber on and cut the ends about half an inch above the chamber then fold them down into the chamber so the bottom of the wick ends are touching the deck. Then add some juice and gently move the wicks away from the sides so theres a gap for the juice holes.

I might have to try rewicking them too and just use a clear liquid with a little more pg this time lol. I'm using Koh-Gen-Do also, it definitely is a couple levels up from cotton balls
