There have been a list of gripes associated with the Mako. I myself have had a quite a few. I've been modding my Mako to make it more functional. This post is for those who (a) own a Mako Midi, (b) Use the 510 adapter for it, and (c) hate the o-rings because they're fugly. This is a real simple $2 mod. I call it IOR or Internal O-Ring mod.
All you need is #6 O-Rings from Lowes. They measure 7/16"O.D x 5/16"I.D. x 1/16" (thick).
1 - Remove those fugly O-rings on your mako.
2 - unscrew you 510 adapter from the top cap of your Mako.
3 - If you usually use 1 o-ring on your Mako, then use one on the 510 adapter. You can use up to 2 o-rings - just double check to make sure the screw end of the adapter is a little farther out than top of the cap housing. If you need more than 2 o-rings, you're screwed - this won't work for you. For everyone else, happy vaping! I apologize for the crappy pics.
