I just bought my first box mod. It is an ipv 2S and I'm having an issue with. So I started to check reviews on it and all it came up it was the iPV V2 which is not 2S so I assume there are different models....or not...I have no ideea.
Anyway I do have an issue with the firing button sticking on when fire the device and won't come out when I release the button. To come out I have to click it again and then move the button around so it will pop out. Other than that I have no other issue with the box. I used it on all the powers available and it works just fine.
I will have to update the firmware so I can get the 70 watts maximum power they claim to offer so I'll see how it performs at that power also. Not that I really need it but what the heck...I have to just for fun. At 60 watts I was expecting to burn but I was surprised to see that the vaping is pleasant.
But the button sticking inside issue is still there and I was wondering if any of you had the same issue.

It is not from the accidental juice into the button. The button was made with sharp edges who goes underneath the body of the device when I press the button and push it even a lil'bit on any side or up/down. It is a manufacturer mistake 100%. But if you guys have no problems with it then means I was not lucky. The guys at the store have no other device to replace it and I won't give it back because I love the thing bad. I just love it even tho every other push the firing button edges gets stuck underneath the device body wall.

Now what in the world is "ASMODUS" ?

Asmodus is doing warranty service for Pioneer4U products in the US, so if you were to seek a warranty replacement you'd have to deal with them. From what everyone says it's a huge nightmare; I think herb was trying to warn you ;) I've read posts from a few people mentioning that their button stuck when they first got it (although I believe that was about the base 50w version) and from what they said it fixed itself with use. If you're not concerned about the additional wear you could remove the battery and press the button over and over until it smooths out and stops sticking.

I hope it works out for you!

Thanx for the info Chuck. The button DO NOT sticks in but rather the edges of the button goes underneath the device body and in order to make it pop out I have to press again and rotate the button until the edge is coming out from underneath the cover . If I press the button perfectly straight there is no issue whatsoever.

Now the next question is how did u guys upgraded the software? I downloaded the firmware and it has a weird extension that Windows cannot open it. Being a product from China I would not take any risk to open a file I'm not 100% it's safe. Anyone did the upgrade yet ?

OK, I did the upgrade finally. Don't bother to follow the instructions that came with the device. Go to Asmodus page and there is a video there on "how to" step by step. It took me a while because there are some tricks but I did it eventually.
If anyone encounter any issues just click me and I'll gladly help.

Now I do have 70 watts on my device. I'm happy I bought it because dripping now is double pleasure.

Just wanted to share my own experience with the ipv2s. I think one of the most underrated features of it is the fact that it's water resistant. I just went to Puerto Rico for vacation. Our hotel had a swim up bar, and I got to talking with some folks vaping on some VaporFi eGos in the pool, similar to the kit I had right before my ipv2s. I know quite a bit about the differences between their setups and my own, so I showed them my mod and dripper (Plume Veil, at the time).

Because I was a) excited to show them a next level set up, b) confident that the ipv2s would be water resistant enough to take a few splashes, and c) kinda drunk, I grabbed my mod, some Tally Ho ejuice, and showed them how to drip. And while I made sure not to dunk it I definitely was using it with wet hands. I think a few people left that day looking to drip.

I have since taken off the back and there was just the slightest bead of water / juice around the rim, possibly from the pool or the leaking fill screw from my Russian 91 clone. The rest of the internals are dry as a bone. I don't know exactly how water proof the ipv2s is, or how it does it without rubber seals, but I wanted to share my experience. I still wouldn't dunk it underwater, but I wouldn't be scared to vape while it's drizzling.
