I has this posted in general gaping discussion but not getting many replies.
I got a smok tfv4 about a week ago and it was fine until a couple days ago. The quad .15 ohm coil jumped to .4 ohms and 6.8 volts without me knowing and damn, was that a hot hit. I cleaned the connection pin with alcohol and put it back together and it seemed consistent at .18-.19 ohms which is slightly high but reasonable. But then today it started hanging at .21-.23 ohms. Cleaned connections again and got a new quad coil at a local shop today and the problem still exists. It's now jumping all over the place with each fire. The subtank mini stays normal at .62-.63
So it has to be something with this tank? Maybe juice underneath the coil causing a bad connection inside? My batts are charging up right now so I can't really check that theory but I'm at loss right now. Anyone with advice please help me out.

First thing is to make sure you are not in temp control mode. Second is to make sure the piñon the bottom of the tank isn't pushed in or damaged. I am at work right now so I don't have time to dissect mine and check other options but I have the same setup as you. Also make sure the coil is in tight but not overtightened. I may be able to dig a little deeper when I get out tonight.

Ok, not in temp mode and the pin is good. gonna clean underneath the coil and make sure it dry. I have been tightening the coils till they stop but ill just snug it in this time.
