Been looking on this forum forever, but never really asked a serious question. I purchased an MVP 3.0 the day my local shop got them in, but it started acting funky so I got a massive discount on another. Now this one is acting weird too (510 connection is raised enough to make the tank wobble, the ohm reader is messed up goes from. 5 to 1.2 so on so forth and randomly shuts off needing to be plugged in to reset, sadly all things Innokin has admitted to). Anyway I'm done with this for now and I'm looking at getting the ipv, I've heard only great things and it seems like it will fit me well, but I'm looking for something to last me awhile and the mvp 3.0 still has a great rating as well. Any help would be appreciated, or recommendations for that matter.

common problem on regulated mods; they really need to have some centerpin adjustment.

overtightening tends to cause that ohms fluctuation you described.
Used to happen to me with my zmax and vamo.

The last mvp I got was the 20w. It's a brick, but a very solid brick. The new design doesn't feel as sturdy and I've read about problems that these never had. I just ordered an ipv mini 2 based on the reviews of ipvs. Because I wanted something equally as sturdy. I wouldn't hesitate to get an ipv4, I'm sure it'll be good. The mini is about the size of the mvp, and i didn't want to go bigger that's why i went that route.

Actually the IPV4 is one great device, i have been using it myself. Not only is it using 100w but it also uses a temp control feature if your using a tank that has "nickel coils"
My suggestion is to look around cause there is also a device called a "SNOW WOLF 200w" that has been very popular this past few weeks.

ipv4 is ok if you're going to do the latest fad which is temp control.
if your not get the sigelei 100w plus.
The Sigelei has been proven to be highly innaccurate above 70 watts. It's garbage, in all honesty. My IPV4 out performed a 100 watt+ Sig. We fired the same atomizer, same wattage, and the hit was much harder at 80 watts on the IPV4.

I love mine, its power delivery is smooth as can be, and has the "fad" of temp control which is pretty sweet.

actually you have the wrong device.
the sigelei is very accurate according to in depth retests by pbusardo abd other reviewers and its not made of cheap plastic

o my god you've got a black ipv4 lmao!! My order was postponed twice. I'm dying to get mine.

I went with ipv4 over sigelei 100+ for a couple reasons. Temp control, I want to see what that's like. Rounded edge, looks more
Comfortable to hold. And it's different than what ppl I know have, we can compare how they work. Other options I was looking at were the smok 80 watt and sx 70 watt.

Ive been using an IPV4 for about 3 weeks or so... so far it has been working rather well, no issues as far as delivering the power... but, the case is a bit thin ( stamped aluminum) the battery cover/grip is molded plastic and the mirrored finish where the display is makes it hard to see thru in bright lite enviroments. And the use of the onboard charger is not reccomended... thats why they dont come with a charger... the USB plug is strictly for upgrading software, not for charging. Finding a proper 9V charger for this thing may be an issue.

yes they do say that but finding a charger that controls amp current and voltage levels properly is the hard part, a standard 9V 2A wall wart will overheat the unit... its safer to pull the batteries and put them into a charger made for Lithium batteries.

Not from what I have seen, Sig fell short of their advertised wattages while the IPVs were almost spot on. There is a VERY comprehensive post on reddit that tested a ton of boxes. I will look for that in a second and post it if I can find it.

Both use a simlar chip, a Yihi SX-330 with a different variation in model ID. In fact, Yihi owns 50% of Pionner4You, and the other 50% is owned by the same person that owns Sig. They are both manufactured in the same building (according to "they" on the internet, so who knows if it's true) and are held to the same QC before leaving to be sold.

I look at it this way, buy a device that has more power than you could ever need but doesn't allow updates. Or buy a device that still makes all the power you need, has working temp control, and gets updates to add new features or fine tune stock ones. The choice is clear to me.

definitely seems safer and quicker to just switch out charged batts.
