New mod coming from pioneer4you. The ipv D2, which is claimed to use "the most advanced Yihi chip". It's a single 18650 mod, possibly using the SX350J chip.

The display doesn't look like a sx350j to me.
Yep. Looking at the screen, that's not an SX350j.

It looks like just another SX330. YiHi has never let mass produced, 3rd party companies use their high end chip. It's always been reserved for their own devices and mod builders.

Hmmm how hard is it for them to include micro usb port that will charge as well... I like to charge directly to the device much better than having to put out the battery and charge it. I tend to forget and leave batteries that were being charged but never forget to plug off the charger from my mod since I am going to use the mod... With batteries I have forgot several times especially after having like 4 backups and it could be dangerous... Worse one was when I leave it charge at the office and I have drove 30 mins away and had to go back to plug off

Call me nuts, but I like the simple look of it.

Then we're both nuts. Love the fact that it's downright subdued for a P4U device. No chrome, no mirror perspex, body-color buttons.

Also, if my suspicions are true and this packs the successor to the SX130, there's hope it'll be available for sale as a DIY board, because that smaller form factor makes a retrofit in a DNAxx mod a possibility.

Yeah, that would be cool on the board. I'm tired of glitchy DNA40s.

I'm not gonna go so far as to call it a clone, but I will say the design is highly derivative of the Stratum. I'm okay with this as I'm in love with the Stratum and missed the one list since I found out about it, also it doesn't have TP, which is a must have for me now.

I'm just hoping that being P4U, it will be reasonably priced....i really want to try TP but all of the devices without a bunch of bad reviews/reports on are well out of my broke as can be price range, and the ipv 4 is to big and bulky (and still out of my current price range :p).
Any one want to start a new charity? TP mods for the poor. Donate your spare, unused TP mods to those less fortunate.
:p

I was hoping they would make an IPV mini V4 with TC but, i'm liking this new look even more... gotta have one lol. the Hcigar VT40 and this are on my must have list now

They both look really interesting, but, for me, only if they're under $100. If they're over, I would probably spend the extra $50 and get the Hana v4, where if I have something go wrong I actually have a chance of getting it serviced. I trust "warranty's" from these Chinese companies pretty much not at all. Even Hana doesn't have the best track record, but at least they're only about 200mi from where I live.

Calling it a clone would be going way too far considering the vast differences between them. Placement of the up/down buttons is different. Width of mod is different. No USB port on the D2. Battery cover removes in a different direction. Buttons aren't recessed on the D2. Shape of the body is different. Size, placement, and orientation of the display is different. Really the only thing they have in common is that they are both black.

Not sure how you came up with the "highly derivative" claim. Could you name a single thing other than the color that is the same on both mods?
