My ipv D3 started autofiring on its on whenever the tank and battery are connected; be it whether the mod is off and on.

Tried cleaning it with alcohol but unable to do so thoroughly since the wires (shouldered to the 510 connection ) blocked one of the screws; not allowing me to remove the circuit board out from the mod's casing.

Any constructive advice and help would be greatly appreciated!!

Ok this may sound crazy at first, do not use alcohol on plastic parts.

Since you're unable to remove everything, what I'll suggest is rinsing it with distilled water(tap water could work but there's still some metal deposits in our tap water) and then dry it out at least overnight in a bag of rice.

High chance is the on board switch stuck so try to focus the rinse there. Also please remove battery before doing that and make sure it's dry before putting battery in. A couple more days of drying wouldn't hurt.

The alcohol would "eat up" the plastic is it?
I used alot of juice to clean up the mod... should I be even more worried now?

Distilled water? Hmm interesting idea.
Read that using contact cleaner also might be good.
What do you think?

Alcohol would eat Up the plastic parts even causing them to gunk/turn gooey.

I suppose contact lens cleaner might have some additives as well, but what I usually do is just tap water. By the time it dies due to tap water, it's probably time to change anyway. More importantly is to have them as dry as possible that's about it.

Since it's gonna auto-fire whenever I connect my tank & battery anyway, might as well I try the distilled water trick.
This mod is/was so f. awesome and best part is that I got it for an ok price compared to that crazy price tag people are selling them on that mobile app platform :cry:

I'll update again few days later.

Thank you for your input.

Also it might not be the button, do check out if the 510 is shorted as well both on connector and if possible the wiring.

Can't check for any problem with theconnection with the wires but I seem to spot a few random plastic patches on the PCB.

Did the distilled water trick. In the process of drying with rice grains. Praying and hoping for the best hah!
