IPV D3 disassembly

Hello,

I used to have a ipv mini v2 and when it came time to clean I'd unscrew the 510 and all parts could be removed. Having issues with the D3 and I'm not able to get the 510 disconnected to disassemble. I need to get the board, buttons and 510 plus derlin washer out to do a thorough cleaning.

Is the 510 welded to the wire and can't be removed?
Any tips on how to disassemble and clean this thing?

Thanks

I'm referring to the 510 brass pin and derlin washer that connects to the positive wire.

On the ipv mini v2, you could use a flat-head screwdriver in the slotted 510 pin and hold the positive wire connection with needle-nose pliers, then twist the 510 pin, thereby disconnecting the pin and derlin washer from the wire. Then you could clean the pin and washer and take buttons and board out.

On the D3, turning the pin w screwdriver just turns the cable and the pin will not come loose.

Any D3 users out there wanna chime in?
