Hey guys,

I had a really weird experience early morning with my mod. Good job I was stirring in bed at the time when I heard it go off.

The mod was in my backpack which I take to work, in locked mode with my Velocity V2 rda on it and a single SS316L coil. It somehow came alive at and started auto-firing while in my backpack. I quickly spun off the RDA and took out the li-po cell.

Upon opening, there was a lot of juice in the battery grip and the panel that comes off to expose the battery. There was also juice within the 510 pin.

I've unplugged the battery, turned the mod face down (so display is on the surface) with battery out and the chip's plate divider removed, stuck a tissue into the battery area now and a tissue below the display.

Every time I connect the battery, it keeps reading "Check Atomizer" which means it's still trying to fire, liquid is possibly still on the fire button.

Attaching the RDA back on it with the battery connected, it auto-fires again for a bit and then stops.

I can't use the on/off + and - buttons either - they do nothing.

However, when I connect the battery and it does the "Check Atomizer" loop, if I press the + button, it stops it from happening.

Can anyone help me diagnose this problem?

Mods please move this thread to the right board if this can be answered better elsewhere.

Thanks.

Sounds like you board got all wet from juice and might be fried. I would leave it, no battery in place, for a few days to see if further evaporation will help. It usually doesn't with juice as well as it can with water, but if you keep firing it you're only making it worse. If a few days to dry out well doesn't do it, I'd send it back in for repair, probably replacement of the board. Hopefully it might be fixed under warranty.

Thanks for your help. I'll give that a shot and see how it goes.

I've also dropped Volcano e-Cig's Zendesk Support a message to see if they can figure it out too. Don't want to risk disassembling the board just in case it can be covered under warranty (bought the mod around this time last year).

Worst case scenario, I'll just have to buy another mod.
