Fun fact, the ipv Mini sits perfectly in the little coin slot in my car:

Even stayed put during some "spirited" driving.

With the Kayfun V4 I just close the juice control. I didn't get any leaks at all. Even when the juice control is open I didn't get any leaks.

Do you have a Miata as well?

Right on. No, I should have worded that better... Jeep TJ, Veloster, and an old Echo.... I use the scangauge in all of them. Wouldn't leave home without it now.

You are of course correct. This First generation SX130 should be running right along side the 3rd gen SX330 Chip.......
But it isn't. Nor would the 1st Gen SX330 hold up against the Gen3.

It is unfortunate, but as long as we keep scrambling to be first in line for New releases this is the price we are likely to keep paying.

My suggestion is:
Those happy with what they have - keep it.
Those dissatisfied should start shopping around while looking for a buyer for their unit.

:D
I don't know that it's a chip issue but rather the wiring/circuit. I love everything about this mod except the ohm reading. Been switching the Atlantis between the IPV Mini, IPV 2S and YiHi SX Mini. Ironically it spends the most time on the IPV Mini. When I take slower drags the flavor almost the same.

I believe it is a calibration issue with the chip, where the resistance of the wiring/510 wasn't properly accounted for. Just my theory.....

Got a reply back from asmodus about the faulty replacement. They told me to send it back and they will waive the service charge (I would expect that anyway) he said he will bench test the next replacement before sending it (would have made more sense if they had done that with the first replacement) also said he would include a VTC4 for my troubles. We'll try this one more time.... Lol

Your patience is exceptional. Kudos to you. I wish you the best on the second replacement. (Third time's the charm, right?)

3rd time is either the charm or 3 strikes your out! Lol.

I hope things work out.

Because receiving a 3rd Bad IPV Mini is statistically like drawing the Seven of Spades from a shuffled deck of cards three times in a Row.

Very Good Luck for a Card Player. Or Very Bad Luck for a APV Buyer.

Yup ... My iPV Mini has performed flawlessly since I got it a couple of weeks ago.

However, it does read coil ohms 0.2 ohms too low and because of that, if I truly want to vape at 10 watts of power on my coil, I need to set the iPV to 11 watts in order to get the required voltage for 10 true watts.

But in reality, the simplest thing to do is just try various watt settings and pick the one that gives the nicest vape (no matter what the numbers say on the device).

yea fingers crossed for ya Major, on a good note my IPV Mini has been vaping flawlessly with only the minor resistance readings being .3 on the low side, also picked up the Sig mini and it's been perfect so far, really like it.

I was very interested in that sigelei mini I didn't think it was released yet. Where did you get it? I know your in a sigelei mini thread how about posting your impressions over there. I would like to know what you think of it.

got it at VR on pre-order (blk) only took a week, it's the same thing as the IPV Mini except it's a tad shorter/lighter and squared and the resistance reads perfect and came with a silicone sleeve and the magnetic battery door is on the side, have a blk rogue on it and it looks fantastic.....works great so far, so the question is which do i like better and the answer is the Sig Mini....yet they are both great devices.

I got my wife an IPV mini for Christmas, and am not impressed one bit. Thankfully she is more forgiving than me (or just doesn't care), and actually likes the device even though the voltage output is too low because the resistance is being read way too low. For me it is just underwhelming, and dissatisfying.

I haven't read much of this thread, basically wanted to see if it was just our unit, or a mass problem. Seems to be a mass problem though.

To add insult to injury, I see P4U is releasing an IPV mini v2 already which will likely work fine.

I guess that is what I get for pre ordering cheap China junk.

I saw it, ole Rip was quite pleased with it.

Yep, I finally saw the video.

I guess I'm one of the few that don't mind the bottom USB port. I just put the Mini on the edge of the table and charge it upright. The weight of the atty on top keeps it from falling.

Also, I just bumped up the wattage to 25W with my Vertex V2 and a 1 ohm coil. Wow I love this setup!

Either you got one really screwed up unit or your expectations are WAY high for a first run $50 VW mod. Sounds like you were expecting a Ferrari from a Yugo dealer.
