The SCREW is NOT an adjustment Screw. It has a wire soldered at the bottom that will get twisted. Spring Loaded 510
Loosening the 510 excessively.

Doubt replacing the 510 will increase ohms either. It is a Ground outside, Power center pin, seperated by an insulator.
Ground should be 100% otherwise it would read high. Ground cannot be beyond 100%
The poster reporting low/correct may have twisted the center screw and is now having slight short issues at full tight. <Pin fully depressed internal to the mod>

It is more likely the Chip is reading After board resistance incorrectly. Could be the wire used is shorter than planned or the wire is thicker than planned in programming the chip.
Chip has to take into account all contact parts outboard in calculating resistance.
Total resistance from the Chip (+) out to the Chip (-) in and exclude the (presumably) known preexisting value.
