Has anyone noticed that in PWM mode, when selected less than 4 volts, the battery icon flashes up and down stripes?
I have checked it with full and low charged batteries, to see it does not depend on battery charge. I think it must mean something.

Maybe I didn’t check it with discharged enough batteries to appreciate the right moment icon changes, but after watching Busardo’s review the meaning is clear. Battery icon indicates this way when it is in PWM square wave.

Another thought, according to great Busardo’s review:

Better to use always PMW mode as it can regulate below battery voltage, and above battery voltage it just turns to DC-DC mode.

Cheers :)

Vaporskinz Black CF Wrap. Its got a nice textured feel to it, so it makes the IPV Mini less slippery. I also like how it covers most of the screen area, so im not constantly wiping the screen down from all of the finger prints.

I watched pbusardo's long awaited review and was pleasantly surprised. Mainly I was interested in the pwm or dc dc modes and he explained that very well.

I have had mine almost a month, using it everyday in pwm mode (I am only using it for now at 8.5 to 9 watts) and been very happy with the device. It really has checked all the boxes for me in what I was looking for.

His review just made me feel more comfortable with my choice.

Was it worth the ~$15-20? I'm thinking of getting one at some point because my IPV is kind of wearing down (I've been pretty rough on it though).

I was torn over the carbon fiber, it's over-used imho... I finally went with VaporSkinz Dark Tamo Wood

Dark Tamo Wood for iPV Mini.jpg

It should arrive by Saturday, looks sweet!

The Mahogany from VaporSkinz is amazing. Just saying!

Yeah, that's sweet too, I just wanted darker and more textured wrap to fix the slippery feel!

I hear VS has a very nice product!

For you guys using wraps on your mini, can the seam on the back of the mod be seen through the wrap or does it cover it completely?
I'd like to know that as well, although mines on the way already.
I'd also like to know if there are cutouts for the hex heads on the vaporskinz?

The CF skin is somewhat thick due to the texture, so it covers the seam completely. There are no cutouts for the hex head.

I have to agree with Busardo. I REALLY want the fire button on that slanted surface. LOL

I like the idea of keeping away from e-liquid. Already had a few RDA over filling incidents and forgetting to clear an Orchid after filling can make a real mess.

After one of my mods failing a few few days ago and watching P. Busardo's review on the IPV mini last night, decided to pull the trigger on the IPV mini this morning, I ordered the black, I don't want it to be black, I really like the gunmetal color, so hoping that hasn't changed.

Have been reading this thread, so know of the 0.10ohm difference and was surprised Busardo didn't pick up on that, but I'm not to concerned as only being 0.10ohm and seeing most can still fire a 0.50ohm even if the IPV reads it at 0.40ohm.

I guess these are popular, as a lot of places was out of stock, but think I scored a good deal, got it coming from Elev8, with 15% off coupon, was only $51 shipped

Debating on whether or not to get the ipv mini v2 70watt in a group buy for 57 shipped, how is the quality on these? Any issues?

I would do it, the body and buttons seem pretty solid, slight button rattle, but nothing major. Paint is thin/slippery.

I too was surprised Phil didn't mention the ohms being off either. Usually he's pretty thorough, and his was clearly doing it with the subtank nano on it, I could see it reading at .4o on his mini.

Not a bad deal from elev8, hopefully you get one that reads ohms correctly.
