Hi guys. I read a thread a few days ago, which I've been unable to find again, that was discussing the warranty on IPV2, 2s & 2x devices.
Someone had posted that the warranty on IPV2 devices purchased for under $109.99 , or purchased from non-authorized retailers would not be honored. This brought questions to mind that I wanted answers for.
I am considering strongly buying an IPV2X. I wanted to be sure that my device would have warranty coverage. I did a Google search for Authorized ipv Retailers and found no information nor retailer list. I noticed that Many retailers sell the ipv devices but there was no "AUTHORIZED IPV RETAILER Lists nor Locations.
I contacted Asmodus since the carry the IPV warranties. I asked Asmodus for a list of Authorized IPV Retailers. They responded that they do not publish a list of authorized retailers for security/privacy purposes.. I did not understand that necessarily but that was the answer that I received. How do you find an Authorized retailer?
I then asked if IPV2 devices would be covered under warranty if they were purchased for less than $109.99 , after explaining that I'd saw this posted in a forum. Asmodus didn't answer that question clearly either though they offered to send me the 3 locations nearest me that sell IPV2 devices that would be warrantied.
I told the Asmodys Rep that I'd be buying the IPV2 device online since I'm disabled and don't get out often. I told him that I'd seen an IPV2X on eBay for $77.99 and I gave him the sellers name, asking if it'd be warrantied if I bought it from there. (The eBay seller said he was an authorized IPV retailer.)
Asmodus didn't answer that question directly but they did give me a good option. Asmodus said that I could buy an IPV2X from VaporRange.com that would have a warranty that would be honored. I then received an Email from VaporRange.com stating that they have the IPV2X for $79.99 !!
Needless to say, VaporRange is where I will be purchasing my IPV2X device here soon.
