I was running a test on the ipv4 with a 9v 2A charger and can confirm it does not work. The unit does not light up and it makes a hissing sound like it is gonna blow up or catch on fire :danger:
I don't know why this made me laugh, but it did. It's a good thing I have 4 new sets of 25Rs to rotate in and out of this bad boy...if it ever arrives (I ordered the black one). Still, thank you for your service, brave sir.

The newest version of the black on Vape Royalty looks SWEET! I just hope the paint holds up unlike the IPV Mini 2. I emailed P4Y to ask about firmware upgrades and releasing a black cover for the silver.

not to be a pain, but why is on-board charging so important to ya; you could always get a charger that you can use in your car if need be.
respectfully, rolf
I think if you advertise something that it should do it. I'm OCD as heck so having a port there for looks and doesn't work is annoying the heck out of me. It is almost like having fog lights on a car for looks but they don't work because they aren't hooked up lol

I got a SX Mini M class and while it is a great device the && is annoying to me when I look at the screen as well as POWERFU+ but the device so far works great. I may have to send back because I had a juice accident and went to wipe it off and some paint came off with it. The bottom part is more shiny and the top part is now dulled out.

i hear ya jstrong, but on-board charging has always been iffy on any device, just like the touch sensor on the ipv3....i do understand your point......yet this device is awesome imo. :toast:
Well looks like I messed up...Just noticed that my charger was the voltage. I looked at it again and it was a 6V. I have a 9V I found and plugged it in. The light is on and I charged so half dead LG HE4's with no issues.

J Wraps now has wraps for the IPV4 and they look sweet. Has a place for the screen as well. Might be a good opportunity to put the wrap on and use some rubbing allcohol to remove some mirror finish to see the screen. I am waiting on Denny at P4Y to return my email about the black version and possibility of firmware updates and new screen covers

this might be a good idea. i'm hoping (even though i think the chances for that happening are slim) for new screen covers as well after seeing what the black one looks like.

The black according to Vape Royalty newest pic has a black screen cover
i misread your post. yes the black one looks a lot better. i was hoping they'd make that cover available as a separate piece but they won't since it requires the user to disassemble the device to remove the cover.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^i dunno yet, might just try to polish it with the Novice stuff; actually the darkness of the screen does not bother me that much since i can't see that well anyway :|

what are you gonna do?

i already wrapped my battery cover with some textured rubber sheets, the kind that peels off with glue underneath it grips alot better but it's just a tad too thick, but it still looks ok.
but it's coming off soon as i get my new wrap.
