i misread your post. yes the black one looks a lot better. i was hoping they'd make that cover available as a separate piece but they won't since it requires the user to disassemble the device to remove the cover.
When Denny@p4y sends me a email back I will let you know. My friend works at a machine shop and I picked up so acrylic from my dad's hardware store. I am gonna see about fabricating a black acrylic cover. Fingers crossed

what kind of build are you using on your IPV4?

i'm using a single Ni coil on a helios, 2 strands of 28ga twisted in a drill, 12 wraps and it comes out @ .086....hitting pretty darn good but it's a touch warm.......i have Ti builds on my other 4 devices with higher resistances.
I have a Beyond Vape Silo Beast with a Atlantis Nickel Coil running now. I have the Lemo 2 and Silo because they are both top fill tanks and vape really good

Simple question here - just got my IPV4 in the mail, and threw my Lemo 2 with a nichrome build on it. Working fine, no issues (other than that stupid screen... smh, seriously).

Question is, how does one use temp control for it? When pressing up and down simultaneously, it says "set resistance" and gives me the resistance of my coil. Does it detect an N200 build and then activate joules mode, or is there some way to set it to joules mode once a N200 build is thrown on? Also, how does one adjust the temp settings? Just trying to figure this thing out, since the user manual was next to useless.

The newest version of the black on Vape Royalty looks SWEET! I just hope the paint holds up unlike the IPV Mini 2. I emailed P4Y to ask about firmware upgrades and releasing a black cover for the silver.

The black one is the one I've been planning on from the beginning and you're correct; it is a very SWEET looking MOD! :thumb: :headbang:
So much better than the silver plus the screen is spot on with this unit.

There are no firmware upgrades as of yet. The units are shipping with the firmware for temperature control feature already enabled.
Besides you would need to go to the YiHi website for firmware upgrades, not Pioneer4You.

There are no firmware upgrades yet at YiHi. There all dated from 2014 and are for other YiHI chipset products, not the SX330 V3.

I was wondering about the safety of using on board charging... I use it on my istick, cuz you have to, without issue.

Main reason I wonder is because I was thinking of getting a silicone sleeve. Not only will it protect it from scratches and falls and such, and make the whole thing nice and grippy, but it will keep the battery cover from ever accidentally coming off even when dropped.

But then battery charging will be slightly more inconvenient, so using a 9v charger might be best.

Bsuardo even tested batteries that were drained unevenly just to see what would happen and they charged to 4.2 without issue.

I just feel like taking the sleeve off every time would get annoying.

Is there anyone out there that actually primarily uses the on board charging?
