Has anyone else had any problems with ohm jumping on the ipv4s? I got mine recently and popped on 2 different attys so far (waiting for my TM rda to come in to see if it still does it on that too) but I've noticed it jumps by like .1-.5 when I start vaping on it. On the Alliance rda I recently put in a dual 5-wrap staggered fused clapton and it read down to .09 ohms and was unvapeable because the ipv4/s doesn't allow for it. But one quick fire in TC mode and it was back to .10 ohms/vapeable in wattage mode. But then I let it sit for like 30 sec and it was back to 0.9. I threw in a dual 6-wrap fused clapton with 26g cores (just like the previous build) and it read to .15 ohms. As of today, it's reading to .10 ohms. Which is almost the same as the 5-wrap I did last night. It doesn't make sense and I don't know if it's the mod or the atty. Anyone else have the same problems?

I am having same issue from the moment I got this.

In my case, I only use kanthal wire dual coils at 0.3ohm which was measured by multi-meter and IPV4s.
I realized when I press fire button, ohm changes by 0.1 ~ 0.4 and when it does, it goes back to 0.3ohm if I check ohm by pressing both + & - button.

Also the funny thing is that IPV4s sometimes reads different ohm (it goes up or down) when I check it several times by pressing both + and - button.

I've tightened coils, atty (until it scratched the mod..) and rebuilt coils, tried different atty.. still the same! :-x

It seems that IPV4s has a problem with ohm reading.. I hope it can be fixed by an update.

Ohm meters are not created equal. This is the reason that I preach that we place too much faith into cheap ohm meters, especially if you are building coils at a super low resistance.

My own $20 box ohm reader and my Provari vary by 0.3 ohms consistantly. Which one is more accurate? My own guess is the Provari is, but that's based solely on the reputation of the Provari's build quality and Provape's promise not to compromise quality or safety in its products.

The finest digital multimeters can cost thousands of dollars, and even they must be re-calibrated periodically to attest to their accuracy.

It makes perfect sense.

If all your contacts were made of gold, you probably would not get those symptoms, (except for the contacts between the gold and the kanthal).

Chances are you just need to tighten your screws where they contact the coil after you dryburn - while the contacts are still hot.

Probably a good note that resistance changes as you vape even with a kanthal build. gunk heat posts loosening etc. all play a role. Every time you press the fire button, the mod is taking another reading of the resistance if you are in power mode, because the resistance is not locked.
Yes, I understand that. But to jump by over .10 ohms is unnatural.
