I have one that is a total workhorse it was my first 2 battery mod. I had it dual using and it took some abuse, LOL, but I'm glad I have it as my beater mod to test new builds on, I don't mind if it gets leaked all over, and neither does it, it seems. Mine is an IPV-5, and I'm sorry I don't have much else for you. I'm not sure I'd buy another IPV either (mainly, they are heavy, and ugly) but I have to say the one I have definitely has its place in my stable.

I hope you get it sorted out.

Have you tried pulling the batteries out and holding down the fire button for a couple seconds?
Yeah, I read something about the iPV5 being stuck on the firmware screen, and he said pull both batteries out and wait 15 minutes, put one back in, hold down the fire button, and put the other one in and it did the same thing.
