i love my provari's but ive been really annoyed by them lately. with a new atty it'll read correct ohms and let me pump up the power. later in the day, same ohm rating but now im gettin e2 errors to lower the voltage .2-.3volts. it happens on 2 of my provari's.:glare:

for example 1.5 ohm atty reads 1.5 then i pump it up to 3.9v (i guess its max cause i cant go any higher) :vapor:vape for 6 or so hours then i get an e2. check AO, reads 1.5. e2 again. lower the voltage .1 then it works again for a few hours :vapor:then e2 again. check AO reads 1.5. lower the voltage again .1 then it works :vapor:.........all the way down to 3.7v then it stays there...
ive had a few atties that made me go down to 3.6v.

is it because im using a 510-510 for the drip shield or what? it happens when i use my DCA306 too.
i clean all the connections every other day to make sure there's no gung build up so idk what else to do.
PLEASE REPROGRAM MY PROVARI! or just tell me what to do...it gets annoying but i love my provari's too much to change mods.

my other VV devices dont give me problems...idk. :(

So I got yet another ProVari in today and no e2 error. My black and chrome both had the same e2 problem but the satin works great. IOU also mentioned he experienced the same results. Something about the satin finished provari's. I don't understand. They should all be built the same with the same chip but performance on the satin is better ?:/

The ProVari works with all types of atomizer and all ranges of resistance but there are some conditions that can cause this. What we are suggesting is that you try atomizers with a higher resistance. The reason is when a atomizer heats up or runs dry the resistance drops very rapidly causing the ProVari to shutdown with the E1/E2 alert. Its trying to protect itself and the atomizer from cooking itself. As the resistance drops its going near a short condition.

.

The errors are there to alert you about a problem and its an important safety feature for not only your device but for the batteries as sending power into a short is when bad things can happen.. Not all devices on the market will sense this and will continue to drive power into a short which is when batteries can overheat.

.

The reason low resistance atomizer were designed, was for devices that didnt have adjustable voltage and this was a way to get more power say out of a set 3.7 volt device. By lowering the resistance its increasing the wattage.

.

Since variable voltage devices hit the market and had the ability to raise the voltage,. low resistance attys are no longer the best thing to use on these devices. By going with a higher resistance atty not only will you get better battery life but you will open all the voltage options that you now have access to and it gives the device some buffer room for the resistance to drop when its in use.

.

You can still get the same wattage and heat by raising the resistance and raising the voltage as you would lowering the resistance and lowering the voltage.

.

Hopefully this helps explain a little more about why the errors are there and why the ProVari is alerting you.

.

I would recommend trying some 2.8-3.2 ohm attys and just raise up the voltage until you get the heat you want ?

.

Low Resistance is not the best thing to use on the ProVari.
