Is 1.8 ohm OK for a standard 510 battery?

I recently bought a standard joyetech 510 kit, i was allways curious about them, and i found the kit on sale. I like it, but the little carts hold little liquid, and i dont wanna babysit the atomizers. So i want to put some cartomizers on them.
The thing is, i only have access to 1.8 ohm cartos, and i remember reading that low resistance cartos should not be used in standard 510 batteries.
¿is 1.8 ohm considered "low resistence"?
¿can i use those cartos withoout fearing damage to my batteries?

thanks

:( aww man :(
It Really sucks being forced to used what little is available here, instead of what i need.

¿What would happen if i used those 1.8 ohm cartos on my 510 bats?
¿would it shorten the duration (duration as in how long before i have to charge it again), or its life (life as in time before i have to throw the battery in the garbage and buy another one)?

I used 1.8 ohms on a 510 for about a week once when my eGo charger went out.

No problem.

As an electrical engineer (but I claim no special expertise in batteries)
I don't see how there could be some magic resistance which causes batteries to
"fry" and above that no problem. I wouldn't worry about it.

Better yet get an eGo, or preferably RIVA, battery and charger. Well worth it.

i allready have 2 eGo-C batteries, but i wanted to use the 510 ones too because i like the slim "cigarette like" form of a 510 bat + cartomizer.

Shouldn't it vape just fine, the only problem being that LR will drain a low mah battery much faster than normal?
I wouldnt have a problem with the battery being drained faster, but im worried that they might get damaged.

It's not a battery that might fry but a mosfet, the brain part of the battery.

Actually the battery can fry too, in a bad way. Batteries have a maximum safe current. A 1.8 ohm atty at 3.4v is about 1.9a draw; that is over 10C on a stock 180 mAh 510 battery, not a good thing.

batteryuniversity is a neat reference site for general learning on this topic.
