is 3mm silica too big for a kanger T3 MT3?

with or without a flavor wick strand on top, is 3mm silica too large for a T3 head? I'd rather not unstrand the silica to make it smaller because it might fall apart easier.
I'm using cotton and hemp (on orer) also, but silica, although probably the least healthy, seems to give the lest gurgle. I made cotton ball wicks that are both thick and thin and uncomoressed and tightly compressed but still flood and gurgle.

update: bought 3mm anyway, shouldn't be a problem, might have to unwind some off of it. I'll post if any problems occur, but should be ok.

I've been using 1.5mm silica wick for my rebuilds but doubling it up to make 3mm.....thru the coil and the top flavor wick with no problems !!

I found this interesting and ordered some 1mm and a bead needle on ebay. When it arrives, I'm going to try this. My wife and I use Kanger T3's. I did use a piece of 3mm to replace a flavor wick that came apart during dry burning. It worked fine.
