what's the point of flavor wick? can I remove them?

I just got a Kanger T3, and with the wick being so tight, it doesn't wick as well as the vivi nova. I can use vivi nova at 4.8 with no problems ever. I realize I can't use my T3 at anything over 4.0 V, and even at 4.0 v, it's still not a given that it won't give off burnt taste, depending how thick the juice is. (I used 70 pg 30 vg)

I'm thinking of removing one of the flavor wicks to improve the flow and wicking. Anyone else tried this? I've heard people say this may cause flooding/gurgling, but I think dry hits are a lot nastier than gurgling. I also plan to store my T3 upside down to solve any flooding that can occur while I'm not vaping. Do you think this might help?

Either way, maybe removing one flavor wick would be too much. In that case, I might just separate the strands and remove one half of a wick. But either way, the way it is off the box is simply too tight for ideal.

Any comments?

Keeps them from flooding, and gives extra juice to the coil. You can remove one, but beware of leaks and gurgles.

Good luck with the T3. Nothing but problems for me, constant gurgling with flavor wicks and without. Bought 2 extra coils with it and its the same with them, and to top it off they leak. Havent rewicked or anything and that might help but for now they are a back up to my back up and will probably not get used again.

Before you give up on the T3 try replacing the silica wicks with cotton cheesecloth wicks. This is working great for me.

Just be sure not to dry burn with the cotton wicks in place. Remove them, dry burn, rinse, replace with new wicks.
