Hello all. I'm having trouble deciding between the 510 and the KR808D so someone had suggested to me using an adapter so I could use them two together.

I was just wondering, which sites sell the adapters as well as kits for a pretty good deal? And what are the advantages of using a 510/808D fusion? Will everything last a lot longer? Do cartomizers last longer (need less replacing) than atomizers and carts by themselves?

I'm still not completely sure of what to get, I may just buy a starter kit of each and use both by themselves, or just get one brand over the other. I just can't decide!

I'm not sure on the 510 adapter and stuff, but so far it seems to me that cartomizers are easier to do cuz when its done you can toss it and throw another on, but they are more expensive. In my eyes so far the best route just seems using an atty and refilling the carts. I say if you've got the extra to spare try both and see which you like better, and maybe the hybrid mix is the way for you. I personally havn't tried either, I've only had a Blu starter kit and the 901 mod I built, which I don't recommend the Blu honestly, but the 901 works great for me so far. Since I've started vaping it seems you really have to try alot of things to find what works best for you. So my opinion is try both and weigh the pros and cons.

Altsmoke.com carries the adapters.. but there are other places where you might be able to get them for less.

A 510 battery will last longer with a 808D-1 cartomizer than it will with a 510 atty and cartridge combo. Probably about 50% longer due to the reduced power consumption of the cartomizer when compared to the 510 atty.

The real advantage is that you only have to buy one set of batteries and chargers (and other model specific accessories). If you get a full 510 kit... all you would need to buy is the adapter in order to try the cartomizers.

If you got a full 808D-1 kit.. you could get the 510 adapter which would let you try 510 atomizers and cartridges.

Either way..... just saving you some money if you'd like to try both.

Hi KYI, I got my adapter from Goodprohets.com for around $5.00 if I remember correctly. The reason I chose the adapter is that I already had a nice supply of 510 reg and mega batteries and wanred to try cartomizers. I didn't want to have to buy a whole new set of batteries etc. I use both my reg 510 atty's which provide me huge amounts of vapor, the adapter also allows you to use a 901 atty that provides IMO a smoother vapor and taste, less vapor than the 510 but I still enjoy it, and of course the adapter lets us have the ease of use cartomizers. Although considered disposable they can be refilled with your favorite juice. If your starting from scratch read the information on both. The 510 and Kr808's both have a great following from the members. For me the adapter gives me the best of all 3 types. The same juice IMO tastes different in all 3 as well as the amount of vapor. I know it can be confusing but read up there's a lot of info here.
