Is a multimeter/voltmeter absolutely essential for modding?

Thanks for the heads up on this meter. I own a more expense one but the ohms scale is restricted to a higher scale so I ordered one of these.

Don't be fooled by the range on a good meter. My Fluke doesn't even have resistance range but it's resistance reading will be superior to a cheap meter with a 20Ω setting.

I would NEVER EVER consider using an MM that costs $3.99. If this is what you want to rely on then good luck. Its a disaster waiting to happen. It makes me wonder about people that would spend $100+ on mods and tanks but will be cheap when they buy a device for their safety. Buy a Fluke or get a used on on eBay if you need to save cash. But cheap'ing out on this is a huge mistake.
