Is all Japanese cotton equal?

I have been trying to find the Kae Jen Do cotton but havent been able too. I did find this however and wondered if it was the same thing or if anyone had ever tried it?

I live in Japan and buy that brand from the cosmetic section locally. As far as I can tell it is great! Nice clean flavor wicks great and is completely natural.

I just ordered them myself. I looked up ecru and found that it is a term that refers to raw or unbleached form in fabrics and textiles. With Koh Gen Do being all bought up by people and being resold at a drastic price increase I did not want to support it. I hope these will be a suitable alternative.

I haven't tried it because I bought KGD when you could still find it. I've seen Shiseido recommended here before though. If it's anything like KGD, the box will last forever.

Just got labo and it's just like kgd with kgd being a touch thicker but not by much... Like a hair difference... Pad sizes vary

That's what I use/have been using for the past few weeks and I cant get enough of the stuff.

These are what I have and they are incredible. I was using pima sliver before and the Labos blow that away. Haven't tried the other brands like KGD and Muji but I can't see them being much different. Only problem with Labo is that I had to wait a month to get them shipped from Japan. I now have a lifetime supply though.

This is exactly what I have. It is not bleached at all. I've never tried Koh Gen Do to compare, but I have had no problems what so ever with this.

I will add, however, that while it is very good, and probably better than regular cotton balls, it isn't a HUGE difference. Some people report that Japanese Organic Cotton (JOC) is a "game changer", that wasn't my experience. Is it better? Yes ... Is it a huge difference? Not in my experience.

While I don't have Koh Gen Do to compare it to, this is the exact same cotton that I have as well. It works just fine. No weird taste or anything. Wicks great. And at that price it's a steal. I got mine from a seller in Japan but I think they have some in stock that is fulfilled by amazon, which means it's in stock in the U.S.

I'm pretty sure Koh Gen Do is supposed to be back in stock at places in mid to late October is what I've been told by several distributors. But this stuff is probably just as good. I'll get some Koh Gen Do and compare them eventually. I doubt there's really any difference besides the size of the cotton pad.

Yes. Because of the 綿の純度の法律 or Wata no jundo no hōritsu (Japan's Cotton Purity Laws) all Japanese cotton is created equally.
