After loosing my wife I became a hermit so I might have an excuse, but I'm kinda getting the idea from several member comments that they aren't actively dating and don't really care. I mean, hell, Zelphie said it's been 15 years if I remember right. ( that just ain't right )

not i, i'm dead in the same boat as u. except my wife was in the UK and i sold off/got rid of EVERYTHING to go there. only to find out that our marriage was a joke to her since her daughter decided she wasn't having it, so i come back w/ little more than 2 bags of clothes to my name. i would possibly b actively searching (cowboy attitude; if you get bucked off, get back on) but trying to claw my way back up from that is turning out to be a slow process. in this materialistic society, i REALLY don't see anyone being interested, so don't see much point in trying right now.

i just got out of a 2 year relationship where i was very disrespected, lied to, and taken advantage of by my ex and her terrible kids! im kinda lookin but just need to find myself again and find someone to enjoy life with with no baggage or ignorance!!!!!! i am a very nice guy who likes to help those who need help, i think thats where i get myself in trouble!!!!!! all in all, im just trying to find that girl that will love back as much as i give to them!!!!

I've had the bad luck to choose poorly when it comes to dating and relationships.

I'm not against dating, I just have not met anyone in the past few years that has been someone I wanted to let into my little world.

I'm also not the most traditional person either. Guess I could best be described as "eclectic". Doesn't work too well with the traditionalist men in my area.

I was always married to "someone" until 5 years ago, and since my last divorce, I have barely have even dated, and at this point I just dont care..have given up. I am not your typical woman-I am a tomboy cowgirl type who loves to hunt, fish, go fourwheelin', muddin' and have no desire for high heels, jewelry, material things (except trucks, guns, big toys)....so I am not the kind of woman that men are attracted to. Plus i have very high standards regarding values/morals. I have learned to be satisfied with my quiet peaceful lonely life on the ranch, just me and the dogs, and the wildlife.

Your correct, it isnt right at all!! ,... I do care though I just got so used to it. Im basically a shutin so I dont meet to many people (social anxiety thing)...

I hear ya Zelphie. I am naturally very shy around strangers, add to that I am not overly handsome or charismatic, ( kind of look like Grizzly Adams but with all gray hair & beard, at only 41yrs) and I get really nervous around the ladies. I always walk away from trying to talk to women feeling like an idiot.
